1st skoda is a VRS

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I'm a new member to the Skoda family i guess, as of last night.

I bought a 02 plate Ocatvia Vrs, and am very happy!

Next payday means Dump Valve and Boost Gauge, Any ideas on where to buy and which ones?

Cheers

Hi, congratulations on your new Skoda, your post is kind of vauge, what engine did you buy? For an Octavia from that range i'm guessing a 1.8 20 valve petrol or 2 litre TDI. I wouldn't really recommend a dump valve as both of these systems have a wastegate.

Hi.

As for the dv, you need to get a recirculating one. The forum favourite at the minute is the Forge Motorsport 007. Although there is one made by Compbrake which is the same and cheper. It's what I have on mine.

As ash said, don't get a dump valve. This will upset the engine management and put the warning light on. You need a recirculating (or Diverter) valve.

I'm looking at a boost gauge too. Thinking or either a Newsouth one or a VDO one.

Ash, with it being a 2002 plate vrs, it can only be the 1.8T engine. They didn't make any MK1 diesel vRS's.
