Snowfoamed, Rinsed, Handwashed, Hand dryed

Featured Replies

silly question this but do any of you when using snow foam agitate the foam at all whilst its on the car body or do you just simply leave it sit and soak?

cheers

If its a good quality one you shouldn't need to, but I must confess, I agitate a bit in the door shuts!

No, you risk working any grime/debris etc into the paint if you do that.

If I want a speed wash though, I'll foam, let it dwell then rinse off - and THEN re-foam and use a washmitt to do a panel at a time, whilst still making use of a rinse bucket.

I only tend to do this in the summer months though, to quickly get rid of flies, road grime and dust, perhaps a mid-week wash.

HTH,

Steve

It's not a silly question mate. It's a good one. ;)

Basically the snow foam should be left to work into the dirt and grime and soak in.

The foam acts as a lifting agent which takes a high percentage of the muck with it when it's rinsed off.

It's also makes handwashing so much smoother as crud glides off!

Which means less swirls, so the use of heavy cutting polishes isn't necessary which = :)

I got the front of mine done today, clayed, sealed and waxed on top but gave up after that. Still too cold for the wax I am using anyway. Sealant went on great though, well worth doing in this mild spell.

Hi All,

I know this may surprise some of you, but my new Fabia vRS was Supa Guarded and I think it is fabulous.

Best shine on any new car I have bought, it is scratch resistant, it beads really well after 5 months,

a power wash with shampoo brings it up as new.

Because it is so easy to dry off, I recon it has cut washing time in half.

I would never buy a car without it now.

Regards

Tony :D

nothing on the market is scratch resistant so thats bull thats been fed to you mate.

If done properly the Supaguard isnt a bad product but for what dealers charge you can buy it cheaper online.

I'll stick with my sealant and waxes.

Infact i'm off to do the car today with Zymol Vintage  :p

Washed mine today aswell...

No snow foam though. And couldn't be bothered to polish and wax either. :D
