Nice turnaround. Just from your progress and photos this week I know with absolute certainty that a white car would drive me MENTAL!

Snow foam lance with just bog standard snow foam mix. And the best shampoo Ive ever used is one called Zymol autowash. It's about £9-10 for 500ml. But it's silky smooth and has no abrasives or nasties in it. All natural ingredients. And it smells of bananas!! :D

And for wax and winter care I use the Carlack 68 twins. Researched this to death on various forums and found these to be the best for shine and paint sheilding.

Forget that supa guard nonsense the dealer will try and sell you. Do it yourself and do a proper job! ;)

Being a veteran of 3 day Skoda detailing sessions, I understand your obsession :D

But it would still drive me mad...

Very wise Tim. I'd do exactly the same thing myself

Good skills mate. Never let the dealer wash car.

It's day 1 week 1 basics but many people are oblivious to the amount of damage they do.

May as well wash the motor with some wire wool!

Totally agree, ive a white Vrs and its my sunday morning relaxation session! My neighbor says i shouldn't bother as it'll only get dirty again - some people just don't understand!!!

Did my friends 4x4 for him last week in prep for selling it. He went for a full valet in Evesham and I then spent 3 hours doing it properly!! Although the wife thought I was completely mad, I do find it very satisfying.

Good result that Jim. He's missing a section of the bumper grille though :)

I am sure a suitable discount will be applied for the luck new owner ;)

Could be doing with some Z2 on the Vrs :p

What's that?

Ahh, another Zaino fan amongst us! :D

I'm a Jeff's man myself.... for bodywork sealant anyway. Jetseal for wheels :)

Good pointers there. Its horses for courses I guess.

My personal favourite is the Carlack products. Sealant and wax.

Fantastic winter protection.

Everything that sticks to the body like tar and grime seems to glide off after the prewash.

I'll be claying my motor when it starts to get warmer and reapplying the Carlack sealant again. B)

My neighbours think I'm nuts as well. Thankfully its a nice neighbourhood and they already know I'm mad..

Not a bad price that, at all. Might pop in and stock up.

Other than that I used Chemical Guys Maxisuds II, and Bilt Hamber Autowash.

Wouldnt a BRILLO pad be better as it has its own soap in it emoticon-0140-rofl.gifemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

silly question this but do any of you when using snow foam agitate the foam at all whilst its on the car body or do you just simply leave it sit and soak?

cheers
