Isit surging?

Featured Replies

Took the car out for a drive and first thought the wheels were spinning then gaining traction (was wet). Then realised that wasnt the problem but the boost was coming and going, more notably in the highter gears. Soo as a little test put it in 4th and 5th medium revs then planted the throttle, revs climbed and climbed some more without actually gaining speed, then it would pickup a little speed then surge some more.

Theres no fault codes and ive checked for split pipes, most common ones have been changed anyway. Im thinking the N75 valve is the first thing to change, presuming its best to stick with the n75F?

Car is mapped with a forge dump valve (green spring) and thats always held the boost so kind of ruling that out.

Any ideas?

sure it isn't the clutch going?

sounds like clutch is fubarbed

go go VR6+G60 clutch replacement :0)

+1 If the engine revs and it doesn't translate into road speed, then something that transfers the drive to the road is not working properly...... hence the clutch emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

As above, sounds like clutch.

Thanks guys. Going to get the garage to double check it is the clutch then look at the ECS stage 1 kit from awesome, the Neuspeed one is to expensive for what power im at at the moment. Can the ECS handle K04 power easily to?

Edit: going for the DIY kit Bodge has put together
