Hi all,

Went to road test an Octavia VRS common rail tdi today and after looking into pricing i was told that you could get a petrol VRS VAT free!!! I then took a pertol out for a test too, i really liked both cars. This has now got me thinking whether the saving is worth it in terms of how much miles you get to a tank. Currently have a Leon FR tdi pd, which is very noisy compared to the common rail. I'll have a look through the forums to see if someones covered the fuel difference already.

Cheers

Kev

Kev.

I used Parkers to compare 1.6cr and 1.4tsi, bought the 1.4tsi two weeks ago, with the VAT discount it would take 4 year to break even on the extra cost of the diesel.

Change prices to suit your deal.

John.
