The winner with highest MPG and highest average speed will win.... respect?! :p

No cheating! Trip 2 figures only.

Mine, unmodded 06 Fabia VRS: 58mpg avg / 40mph avg (Over about 4000 miles)

I reset trip 2 every time I fill up a tank of fuel. Usually see average 28mpg (250 miles to a tank).

At 28mpg average, what the heck is your average speed figure?

My sdi seems to auto reset every day. Mine was showing 71.6mpg average last night

So how is your average so low ?

What actual speed do you drive at ?

Even when pushing on, i dont think i've averaged anything less than mid 30's, and your is the same spec as mine.

Are you flat out everywhere ?

But back on topic, last week i averaged 72mpg on my trip, but average speed was in low 40's mph lol :(

Trip 1 should reset but trip 2 should stay until you reset it. :)

I only have current mpg and average mpg. Is that right? I just cycle through on right level on end like all VAG stuff.

Does it say 1 in the corner? There's a button on the bottom of that stork which changes it to 2, there's two counters on there you can use independently if it's the same as the vRS.

The bottom of teh stork is the reset on mine and all VAG stuff I have owned. (Passat, Roco, golf, Fabia). Is the VRS different from my poverty SDI?

I push to swap between or hold to reset.

Cheers buddy that might be what I am doing wrong, if this is same on my other cars I feel a right prat for not realising this for YEARS! :giggle:

38.8mpg // 18mph // over ~1400 miles

Gotta love town driving =(

18mph, that's gonna take some beating!

Mine's around 47mpg over around 1200 miles. It's cold out and I don't want to get cold just to get some numbers. :)

What's interesting is how trip 1 and trip 2 differ. If you do longer journeys (50miles +), then trip 1 becomes ever more optimistic, if you motorway drive. Trip 2 should average the lot, including all of those cold morning starts.

To be honest I don't trust anything the OBC says. I consistently get 42-45mpg calculated figures but it magically says I'm getting 58mpg. :dull:

Anymore average speeds to report folks?

56.8 mpg

29 mph

2295 miles

But my actual mpg is in my sig...

Seeing as my trip computer is waaaayyyyyyyyyyyy out on the MPG I'll not bother.

58.1 MPG 38 MPH 1700 Miles. Actual MPG is 48.1 I think Microsoft wrote the software for the trip computer.

49.7 MPG - 24 MPH - 1950 Miles

I got 47.85MPG to the last tank, so these figures seem pretty accurate, I thought everyone said they were about 10MPG out ? ?

si

41mpg, 31mph, 1313miles, this is in the last 2.5 weeks.

I think my EGR valve needs needs cleaning, as most of the 1300miles has been on motorway @70mph

18mph, that's gonna take some beating!

My trip computer says 17mph average - again, due to town driving. :( Trip 2 says my mpg is 48.8, but calculated rolling average is 52.2 (since September 2009).

52.7 mpg / 2684 miles / 34mph.

For me that sums up what the VRS is all about, nippy when you want it and economical when you don't. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

50.1mpg / 16mph / forgotten the miles lol

50.5mpg / 41MPH / 3812 Miles

Mix of economical commutes and the occasional ragging the t*ts off :)

In the 22k miles I've had mine it's done 52.2mpg and 37mph avg
