The time has almost come

Hi Andrew

My clock says ONE in the morning, so by my reckoning you're nearly half way through not sleeping for tonight, and just in case you happen to tap into the site when you're up and about padding restlessly from room to room, swabbing your fevered brow as you go, I thought I'd just say - "Well done on getting there, eventually, and DO enjoy your first sojourn in your new beast"!!

Mind you dont stall it as you approach the first roundabout, as a few on here have done in the past! Give it some welly, but not too much (difficult I know)

And then, on Wednesday, photos and a list of questions please!

lol i stalled it when i test drove one, i was trying to hold it on a hill leading to a roundabout

What a lovely bright, crisp frosty sunny morning=just right for picking up your new Yeti-enjoy

Great! Have just arrived home after shopping and a quick lunch. Will attempt to post a photo or two later.

Very smooth and comfortable - journey home was 35 miles of mixed outer-urban, motorway (A1M) and country lanes: I managed 38.5 mpg despite giving it a bit of welly where possible. Not bad, I think, for its first run.

No problems with stalling yet, although the brakes seem a bit fiercer than my Octy.

Colour and trim is spot-on, especially with the 'wood' dash filler obtained from James some months ago!

I am going to like this car very much indeed. More later - off to play with it a bit now!

I will add a second post with another photo as apparently these two have used up the available space.

Help - how do I make photos smaller?!!

Reduce the quality and you can load more.

Looks great, shame its not Candy whiteemoticon-0140-rofl.gif, but the interior is greatemoticon-0136-giggle.gif, bit clean though!

We have had a b*******y freezing day down in South London, peaked at about 5 degs, feels damp and cloudy.

Very nice Andrew - bet you're delighted at long last!

Help - how do I make photos smaller?!!

Well, I use a mac and aperture and I can resize to many different sizesemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I guess you use Mr Gates pile of p** so try opening your photos in your photo editing package and then save as. It should give the the chance to change the quality at least.

Finally! THE long awaited SM! I love that colour. I was not so averse to washing my car that is the colour I’d have gotten. Love it. Enjoy.

[Not sure what sort of computer you have but if it has XP the easiest way (without special software) is to go to the photo(s), right click on it(them) and then click on “Send to…†and then on “Mail Recipientâ€. A message then comes up saying "Windows can resize the picture". Tick the first box saying “Make my pictures smallerâ€. Windows will then create an email in Outlook with the smaller photos attached. Then select them all and copy and paste them into another folder and save them for upload in the way you just did.]

google and download a free app called pixresizer then make a folder on your desktop call it what ever you like and put all your pics in there and also make another folder inside the first one and call that one resized pics.

Start the pixresizer click on source button and show it the first folder

then click on destination button underneath the source button and show it the folder you called resized pics.

In section 2 put the slider to around 600

in section 3 make sure the jpeg is selected

Click save pictures and let it do its job, once you get used to it you can mess around with the settings and customise them to your own needs

Here, hopefully are a couple more pictures. The interior is very washed-out looking as it was almost straight into the sun. SWMBO's Panda is lurking in one of the others!

Oh dear! Yet more evidence of my total lack of IT ability. I must have turned it round the wrong way!

Andrew, have you tried the electric seat memory yet? Mine doesn't work, needs a recode like so many before me. So cannot personalise the key fobs yet.

Not tried it yet - one of tomorrow's jobs!

Mine doesn't 'remember' either - in next week for replacement seat controller - not conviced it's hardware myself! :wonder:

Thankfully mine seems to be one of the few that did work from day one. Touch wood it lasts as I love it when you come back with a different key and the seat and mirrors whirr back to your favourite position.

Congratulations!....My brakes were a bit fierce at first(maybe it's a 170 tdi thing with those extra large discs.) However, after after a couple of months of use in ice ,salt ,and grit, they've "softened"up nicely. Enjoy.

It will be a good buy for someone - it was in pristine condition: I assume it will be advertised by MSB soon, and I too will be interested to see their price compared with what they gave me for it!

No sign of it yet...

Can't see it on Skoda's used car search either :(
