Let me know what you think!!!

Looking cool mate. If she was mine I'd get plain plates stuck on with tape so there's no screw holes, tint the fogs to match the headlights, colour code the handles, remove the door strips (I'm doing mine next week) and get a Miltek exhaust. :)

Is there any room to space the wheels out a tad?

Looking good, personally I'm not a fan of the headlights, painted inserts look better IMO. Love those wheels though B)

I was going to do the door strips today but I'm reluctant incase of paint bubbling underneath! The fogs are getting tinted soon and i want some pressed plates. I heard if there in UK font there perfectly legal??

Use DubMeister for legal pressed plates but I don't like them myself. I prefer the clean, subtle look personally. :)

Plans sound good though! Remember you can always attach the strips if they have bubbled. I removed mine when I replaced them with the colour coded ones and the paint was fine.

looking good did u take the adjusters out then

  • Author

I think I will have a crack tomorrow at taking them off! Just take one of the smaller rear ones off first. Was thinking how **** they look when I was washing her today.

Yeah the adjusters are out Tom! Looked rubbish with them in. You got anymore plans for yours?

drop the front and i think im going gold centres

I think gold would look good. Have a look on Bmautosport. There's some on there very similar to lm's with gold centres!

Liking what you've done with your car, do you get much rubbing with those wheels at that height? Roughly how much is it lowered now on coilies?

  • Author

It doesn't rub at all mate! Iv slightly adjusted the camber of the wheel so it sits under the arch! The front and rear arches are quite deep which helps. I had 55mm lowering springs on it before but it wasn't low enough so I upgraded to jom coilovers and although they are 'budget' I can't fault them at all. I'd say it was about 65-70mm drop now. Since those pictures were taken I have removed the sidestrips which looks a lot better!

Cars getting a few things painted so iv had to take the grill and number plate surround off. Looks quite mean in the flesh.

Now faced with a quandary whether to smooth my number plate recess or not??

Opinions please?

Fabnew.jpg

That looks stunning sat on LM's mate :) how about instead of smoothing the recess try getting it cut out and popping in a front mount intercooler? Also how did you tint your lights, i can decide how to do them :/

It's got a splitter mate, just don't like having it stook rite out the front like everyone else! I prefer having it so theres slight fins on each side, gives the bumper more shape!

looking good mate, how much did you pay for the front bumper to be smoothed?

It was £300 but that was for door handles, mirror bases and a few scratches and other small repairs. So I'd say about £200 for the bumper!

When did you take the rub strips off? Or did the body shop do it. Looks bang on how I want it.
