Bi-Xenon/Xenon vRS option?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I can't seem to find the info online, are Bi-Xenon or even Xenon headlights available for the new Fabia vRS?

Thanks.

No, if they where I would of factory ordered some lol

Nope, I asked on Saturday when I ordered. Think that's the thing I'll miss the most when I change cars.

It's the only reason to even consider buying a polo gti. Go for VAG brand engineering :dull:

Think most people would have ordered xenons if they knew how shocking halogen projector system is :dull:

Agreed, Would have definately had Xenons. They were on my RX8 and Focus ST-2 and decent. Shame they were not on the options list.

Xenon option would be pretty expensive though; prohibitively so to most people. Genuinely cant see that many people opting for these on the Polo GTi regardless of how good they look. Most standard headlights arent all that great on dipped beam but are adequate when using the main beam. Most of the time its nothing a bulb upgrade wouldnt largely sort out.

I think the curve projector upgrade is a waste of time. Would be useful if the UK Fabia's had headlight washers, heated washer jets and a low fluid level warning as standard; a winter pack if you will, certainly on the mor expensive variants. I find the headlights on my MK6 Golf get terrible as soon as some road film builds up on the lenses, get fed up with my washers freezing and annoyed when my bottle runs out. Wish I had the winter pack.

I have the curved projectors and to be honest not really sure what they do so far, have not driven it much at night and what night driving i have done have noticed they dont do a lot. Did get the dealer on pick up to replace the bulbs with philips extreme 100% brightness bulbs which seem okay added to the DRL's that put a bit extra light on the road.

Would concede that these lights are probably a waste of the £ 250 (less vat) I paid for them, although maybe they come good with more night driving...

I've driven another car with I think these type of lights, and at slow speeds driving on narrow windy roads as I often do, they were pretty impressive as the beams turned with the steering to shine around corners. I never noticed them doing much at speeds over about 40-50mph to be honest though.

I believe they have some sort of lock out at high speed for some stupid reason.

They do move just not as much as some other styles, as all they are realy doing is turing one of the projectors.

Hi there

vRS has H7 bulbs

A HID conversion kit can be bought for £160 or less

I think that this would make a great difference

Would be a good upgrade, but bear in mind a HID conversion kit will not be legal on the Fabia VRS (no self levelling lights or headlights washers)

Sandy59 thanks your comments on the lights, noted.

Ill try and look out for them moving at lower speeds.

Would defo have ordered Xenons if available as they were great on my focus ST. Went out tonight tho and didn't think standard lights all that bad. Dipped isn't exactly great but on main beam just fine.

I'm going to fit an H7 HID kit to ours

What kit and does it have washers/self-levelling?
