OVer the last month the cars been getting worse noises from the front passenger side and the tyres are severly worn. Its started pulling to the left and there is a slight knocking when i hit bumps. I was thinking it could be the bush on the front part of the wishbone?! any other ideas? I dont want to do tracking before i sort out he knocking...

Could be a few things m8 best thing would be to get it checked by a mechanic who can tell you whats up. could be track rods, ball joints, arb, or bushes. unless you've got an idea what to look for it's best to get a pro to diagnose it

First check for a broken spring. Open the bonnet. Check that the gap between the spring caps and the turrets is the same. If one is sitting down on the turret, then the spring on that side is broken.

If you had relevent advisories on your last MOT, check those items next.

If you are not confident in checking the suspension components, then take it to a garage as Raf_75 suggests. It could be something as simple as a worn ARB bush but if it's a ball joint then it could seriously ruin your day. Get it checked soon.

Cheers guys, taking it to a local vw dealer as my brother works there and get them to look over it as its free for the check. See what they can find i suppose.. Hopefully not too much lol
