A metric ton of muck !

Featured Replies

I have just cleaned the gully at the base of the windscreen...you know...the bit underneath the grills by the windscreen wipers.

GOOD GOD !! How on earth was it possible to have that much muck sitting there festering and fermenting and completely hidden from view.:sick:

I ended up having to buy one of those little "grabbers" from Halfords just to reach the crap lurking there. Well worth the effort though as it was blocking the water drain that is supposed to let the water out by the wheel arch.

(oh and i didnt injure myself at all)

Very important to keep that plenum chamber clear of debris, so job well done. It should be part of the service schedule at any decent dealer or Indy. Car can get very damp inside if it's full of crud, or worse, water gets into the wiring loom. :o

I did mine the other day too, it's quite surprising just how much crud gathers in there!

Given the size of the holes on the plastic cover, and the size of debris you find inside, I suspect Aliens

Thought I saw something funny looking in there......... :o

I try and clean it every time I open the bonnet. In the past I've used the garden hose to clear the muck out (with bonnet shut).

It's not surprising that many Briskodians have water puddles inside the car, mostly due to this.
