1.2 TSI 105bhp tuning

Featured Replies

Well its cheaper than getting the Eibach springs my car has but then my car is lower than a vRS - I know i`ve parked beside one!

The springs are worth getting though as they have reduced the body roll on my car dramatically, next mod will be ARBs, then off to Longlife for a customer exhaust and 100cpi cat. Think the clutch will need replacing at that point though.

Then might look at some options for the chargecooler, pre-rad and maybe replacing the turbo with a slightly larger item (thinking of maybe using the TDi or Golf GTi turbo as I believe its bigger than the vRS item).

Also off up to AmD Luton at some time soon to hit the rollers. Also noticed they list a map for the TSi so considering getting that done as they are nice and close to me!

www.sharkperformance.co.uk a well respected briskoda tuning company are still wanting a 1.2TSi donor car.

Let them tune your 1.2TSi so they can produce a generic map and you get yours done for free.

Cheers

Lee

I am talking to them about it, waiting to see what can be done as my window for loosing the car is pretty tight!

Could you tune the 1.2 tsi 86bhp to closer to 105bhp

I'd have thought it would be very easy to get the 86bhp to 105bhp. As long as there are no mechanical differences between the engines, the only difference will be the mapping. It may simply be that the 105 map allows a bit more boost pressure, or even that the 86's max throttle is restricted. If that is the case, then remove the restriction and hey-presto, you have a 105bhp engine :)

I'm new here but may I add one for discussion? I am waiting to hear if it is a plug-in or a remap.

you guys are aware that shark performance were after a 1.2 TSI for development work and you get the map fro free at the end

LOL, they were going to use my car (being a manual and all, think they might have done the DSG one?) but as its now gone...
