VRS 0-60 times

Featured Replies

Thread to post your 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times also preferably having used specialist equipment etc etc and a picture if possible.

State if the car is mapped or not, and any performance modifications.

I pulled 0-60 in 7.41 seconds with 3 people in the car and with half a tank of fuel. The car is completely standard so im a little excited as to what i could achieve with some fiddling...

Used a Gtech Pro 1994 model to get that value.

Will post picture with just me in the car as i did this reading in my works lunch break.

I've tried it a few times on a private road.... The vRS isn't that great at getting off the line really, it's more of an in gear car. My S14a 200sx was fantastic at getting away, but RWD makes life a lot easier. I've tried against various mates with FWD and RWD cars.

I fair quite well against the FWD, but even slower RWD cars are better off the line. In fact, I'm sure that lower powered FWD cars are better than mine up to 30mph as they can put all the power down without lighting up the front tyres. A remapped vRS is a bugger in a traffic lights drag, especially if it's wet or even worse, damp underfoot.

I don't bother now and wait for the opportunities that crop up when rolling instead. Mind you, I am getting old now. :giggle:

i have always found on launch that turning ASR off helps alot. ok you do get wheel spin but atleast you dont have the power cut out from underneath you!!

That's why you don't get true performace front wheel drive cars, physics gets in the way.

Yeah fwd cars arnt great at getting off line or at least there not without killing clutch,

Dont much like the vrs's traction control either

I ran 15.1 at 99mph at santapod 4x4 octavia

Depends on the weather with 325bhp threw the front wheels
