4 Years, 8 Cars, No crashes (touch wood)

Featured Replies

Just thought id share my car portfolio from my 4 years of motoring. There's a surprising amount for a 21 year old!

17 and the day i passed mum and dad bought me my first.

Saxo VTR, was the boyo in this against all my friends with 1.2's  (didnt last too long though, typical french)Iphone071.jpg

2nd car, Corsa 1.4 SRi. Surprisingly alot faster than the VTR thanks to a nice straight through pipe an racing camsIphone078.jpg

3rd car, thought i would have learned. Saxo VTS, very quick at 18. straight through exhaust, cold air feed and uprated ECU. Although reliability wise it was not the best it was still the most fun out of the cars iv had to drive.n602260520_3961509_1506.jpg

4th Car, this is where my VAG obsession started. Mk4 Golf GTI 1.8t. Bought the car completely standard and did a fair bit. Superchip. RS4 wheels. Coilovers. Window tints.Golf.jpg

5th car Seat Ibiza Cupra. This car was awesome. Had a straight through exhaust and sounded amazing. Id say this was my favourite looking car. Was running about 220bhpcupra.jpg

6th car Audi S3. I saved hard for this one. Bought it with 58k on the clock and 1 owner from new. Didnt want to alter the looks at all as its a beautifull car already. Had it chipped to 280bhp and with the 4wd it absolutely flew. Leather recaro interior as well was gorgeous. Wish i still had this one as a weekend car :'( Iphone019.jpg

7th car VW Golf GTI anniversary 1.9tdi. This was my first major project. I didnt want to spoil the overall look so the only cosmetic work i did was coilovers and wind deflectors. Full miltek exhaust, allard bypass, green cotton air filter and a remap. Was running 200bhp and 350lb/ft torque. I did some major miles in this which is the reason i sold it! Was a definate beautyIphone106.jpg

8th and current my Fabia VRS. You have all probably seen my build thread so i wont bore you again!Fab05.jpg

Thought this was quite an impressive colection for a 21 year old. Let me know what you think of the cars!!! B)B)B)

Sweet collection, oh how times have changed since I was your age  It all started with a Morris Minor Van :'(

Nice collection (well almost!)....But one question - how the hell did you get insured on them...and secondly did you declare the mods?

I was on my Dad's insurance for the first 4 years of driving and that was dear enough for a 1.1 Uno and a 1.4 Mk3 Golf...

I get asked that all the time! Before i drove a had a 50cc hairdryer so my insurers kindly gave me the equivalent to a years no claims if i took my car policy with them and i also did a pass plus test which brought my premium down significantly. It was only 1100 on a 1.6 saxo vtr at 17! We have always had quite a few cars in the household as well, so we reap the benefits of admiral multicar. All still on my own policy though (a few might now have had 'all' mods declared) B)

Nice collection of cars you have had.

I had a Clio 172 at 18 lol.

That thing was thirsty tho

Why did you sell the S3 for a Golf???

Although the VTR is French it still wasn't a bad start for a 17yo! I started French too.. Mine being a 1985 Renault 5 1.1 TL... I got slightly less street cred I should imagine :)

Me and my old man have got a bit of an obsession with Golfs. He has an edition 30 as pictured above next to blue sax but I always wanted a 25th anniversary golf. I eventually found one when I owned my S3, absolutely immaculate no dents or scratches owned by a bodyshop manager! It was a no brainer really. Limited edition no.1728 of 1800 in the world! Couldnt say no mate

bet insurance wasn't cheap either. i've got a soft spot for the clio sport after my big brother had one.

checked insurance while i was looking for a car before i got the fabia but didn't want to pay £1600 along with the massive fuel bills.

A group of my friends have gone through a stage of getting ridiculous cars at a young age! One of my friends who is 19 currently owns a mk1 golf with a 300bhp Audi tt engine transplant and has a jabba tuned S3 for his everyday car. Not something 'mummy and daddy' have bought either lol.

I wish I still had some of them! Pestering my old man for his edition 30 when he wants to sell. Engine chip on them and you have got yourself a ford rs killer.
