Do I come back to a VRS ?

Featured Replies

Had a fabia vrs a few years back and stupidly got rid of it for an octavia vrs , then got the need to save money and bought my current fiesta 1.6 tdci zetec s,,, and after 6 months i just hate it ,,, seriously thinking about going back to a fabia , found a nice black 55 plate with 56k for 5600,,,,thoughts ?????

do it! you only live once, I can't really afford my mark II vRS, but HELL I enjoy driving it every time I get in ;) even if its a stretch, if you are into cars, and enjoy driving, make yourself happy

Do it. :)

ahaha ,,, exact person i was hoping to get a reply from ,,,, i reckon the ford handles a lot better than the fabia but the torque in the fabia is soo addictive. How much difference is the mpg mate ,, im getting 60ish at the mo,,how much will I lose ?

the 30 quid tax is good as well , insurance will be almost the same i hope

Get rid of the Fiesta..Horrid car!!!

I had a 1.6 Petrol, handled really well  The Fabia has a bigger engine made of pig iron so i'd expect it to handle slightly worse!

Power delivery in the vRS is addictive, as Clarkson said 'like a sledghammer everytime you change gear'

Tax is £125 I think, insurance is about the same. Build quality wise the vRS shines through, Ford is a bit plasticy like the Ibiza.

You shouldn't lose much mpg - maybe 5-10 depending on how addictive you find the power!

Get another vRS

Yep

My daily commute is A roads for 120 miles and I always remember enjoying it in my "Sponge" named by the kids after the skoda cake ads !! The fiesta lump is just soooo bloody noisy its unreal !!!!!!!!!!

120 miles! 60 miles each way? Quite alot, the vRS should give back a regular 50mpg +

I used to have an Ibiza FR TDI and went from that to a Golf GTI (bad move but bought house) then to Zetec S which was nice, like you say handled well but slow and chavvy following. Then on to the vRS, not looked back, prefer it to the Ibiza too.

nope ,,, a year cost me 125 today

E 131-140 £110.00

F 141-150 £125.00

07 BLT engine is Euro IV and 140g = £110. I think the Euro III engine is 146g.

Hi kerms. Im in the same boat mate. Literally just got mine today. Silver, 68000 miles for £5350. Mine needs some TLC too but thats part of the fun ;) cant wait to get it up to perfection. And absolutely chuffed to bits. I had a fiesta ST before and i can safely say that my fabia trumps it hands down!
