Hello to the Skoda family! I have been a faithful VAG follower (my first car was a kit car built on a '69 Beetle, then had 3 Rabbits after that) and finally wound up with a 2004 Octavia Combi 1.9 TDI and absolutely LOVE it. I have been driving it for a year now and if past experience holds, it will probably have 500K on the clock before I let go!!!

I got the car from Luxembourg but unfortunately don't speak German and would like to change the display language to English...does anybody know how I can do that? Is it something that can only be done thru the OBD connection?

I am also considering remapping and would like to hear from some of you that have done this...is it worth it? The little gal runs pretty strong but I suspect she could really scream with just a few keystrokes.

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly

Mid-way through a holiday in France and the Infotainment gremlins are back… SOS call fail, parking distance fail and manoeuvre assist fail, coupled with infotainment system booting, lasting about 30s, freezing and rebooting. SOS light on red and multiple warnings on dash. Car is coming up to 2 years old and has had repeated software issues. Could really use some help from someone who has had this issue and can stop the endless reboots !!!

Hi there! I recently installed on my car an OEM Electric tow bar on my 1.5, but pressing the button inside the trunk, nothing comes out from under the boot. According to Skoda workshop, problem was the control unit: it was the model specific for electric cars with part number Skoda 5H2907383B; in fact looking on VAG the right code for my car is the 5H2907383BLc. I found a pre-owned one over eBay and when mechanic connected it and turned car on, it enlightened itself for awhile. Is it matter o

Hi. Just see that my 2023 skoda sportline karoq 19 inch wheels 19 inch. Sagittarius I believe? One of the covers is missing. Unsure if has been missing long and wanted your take on whether it has been stolen or has just fell off due to bad clips or design flaws. See photo of good wheel and the trim removed. Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter
