Yeti

Hi All

Anyone had this problem? Yeti Se 140 performed faultlessly both driving and towing for 8500 miles. Two months ago developed a squeak/ click sound which seemed to come from the "B" pillar drivers side. The was while driving on smooth roads and sometimes on braking or accelerating. It gradually got worse and noise came from the left side as well as towards the back. Stripped everything out of the car including the rear seats but no luck. We back to dealer who had the car for 2 hours and they checked a door panel folowing a road test. Thought it was cured but no luck. Over the next 3 weeks sounds got worse becoming a " Surround Sound" at times. Booked into dealer again as soon as a loan car available and they had it for 4 days. A Skoda Advisory named the door striker plates as being a problem so replacements were ordered and fitted. On picking up the car and driving the the first roundabout, the dreaded click/rattle was heard again! We drove home 35 miles and the other noises seemed to have gone. No such luck. A 170 mile round trip brought them out again. Most noticable at slow speeds up the 40 mph, braking at T junctions, and on acceleration. Extremely dffficult to describe the sounds which are intermittent at times! I am trying to record them! Skoda customer servives aware of my problem and have opened a file on it. Car is going in again on Wed 30th for another session as this is getting very annoying.

Will keep you posted.

I remember taht in the past The Plumber spoke about possible solution

Yes, Chico is correct I also remember TP having had this problem and tracing it to something behind the black external shroud of the A-pillar (if memory serves).
