So, after a mere 182 days, my car is alive and making its way to Emden... it's the best news I've had in ages :rofl:

I've just reminded the dealer that two weeks gives him just enough time to order to "extras" he agreed to, mats, rubber boot line, umbrella... and of course, a full tank of fuel

I'm a happy man (although I did also question his timing... April 1st, before 12:00... )

Interesting your dealer said 2 weeks till delivery, James at Allams told me Wk 14 build should be here Mid May!!!! , wish he had sent on 1st April.

I have only been waiting since 22nd Jan so only 68 days so far , admire you diesel peoples patience (but hay I guess you need patience to drive a slow car lol)

Well done mate! 2 weeks is nuffink to 182 days. By the way an umbrella comes as standard. Check the near side rear door when you collect....dont pay for one! Good luck

Well done mate! After 182 days anuver 14 days will soon fly by. Dont pay for an umbrella......you should have one as part of standard equipment....just check rear nearside door....if it their get the dealer to supply you one!

Mine is built and at/on its way to Emden, so it seems the week 14 cars are all on time. Interestingly I was told today that the official line is two weeks from the factory, but they frequently get to the dealers earlier, so fingers crossed for us all.

Also the dealers can register cars for 12 months PLUS one week. Not something we can do but useful if your dealer can get it on the road before Easter.

Mine is a white 1.8 TSI twin door elegance DSG. It was extra to have the TAXI sign taken off the roof!

Took the wifes Fabia for its free car wash at the dealers yesterday. My salesman confirmed the car had arrived at Emden and was awaiting loading... it's getting nearer

Well, Skoda have excelled themselves! My car had bw 15, just checked the tracker and it's on it's way from the factory to the port. Really pleased given that bw 15 only started today according to my calculations! Also really looking forward to getting my mitts on the new car, just in time for summer!

Yes, it was the Bickerton/Rainworth one. Was surprised to see the status, was expecting to see planning or build day after confirmed build week, not in transit! Still, not complaining, even more reason to make sure I have no setbacks in my recovery following some minor surgery last week!

Mine is on her way too! Not sure whereabouts, but dealer confirmed she was in transit on Friday.

Looks like factory have switched to producing RHD vehicles. Can't remember so many cars on way to delivery since I joined Briskoda last autumn.

Don't want to upset everyone, but have a look at Emden on Google Earth. It's the world's biggest car park. They could be there for months!!!

So is Grimsby, but I have driven past Grimsby docks before now and seen full/busy car loading/holding areas in the morning, only to drive back past later in the day to see the same areas empty.....

I would also think that the transport is well sorted, given the delays with building the cars. The last thing they need is to screw up delivery through lack of planning.

Could I just get mine first please before the battle of the week 14's begin... I'm a bw13 :S

I note that there are a few dry cargo vessels doing daily trips between Grimsby and Emden

I think mine will be first, the drivers will be fighting to drive my V6

Just so long as they drive it VERY carefully and don't exceed 2500RPM
