T reg... Are they any good?

no, i'm not about to trade mine in, just want to gloat a bit ;)

Doubt its as quick as yours! :D (yours is remapped now, right? ;))

Great car.

I traded my Teg in for the Octy.

Un-remapped octy not as quick. Remapped - i beasted a Teg a the other day.

Corners - a Teg will beat ANYTHING. Thats anything. Porches, elise, anything. The teg was never made as a top speed car - it was designed to go round corners fast.

Track day car to be honest.

Its great when you can drive it properly, it does nothing until 6000rpm when it all kicks off until 9500rpm. No torque, all power.

Mine had a CAI, Greddy Evo II Zorst and Exedy lightened flywheel - running around 210bhp, not much torque (can't remember figures).

Needs a lot of work to go fast - working the gearbox constantly.

Loved it - would have another tomorrow, but as a track day car. Strip it out :D

Integras are very nice, dont know whether there were group 18 insurance though?

Saw a really nice one at a race, in white with civic type r alloys and a big wing on the back driven by a stunning blonde bird...

They come with the wing as standard. Doesn't do owt until after circa 80mph - then creates downforce for "high speed" stability.

They are indeed gp18 insurance - i was 27 full ncb and paying circa

Thanks for the info. Wasn't really a fair match then :D. A 10 for effort though

He did have more balls than me to go through a looooong right hand corner at how can i phrase this best high speed. Although reading the above it might have something to do with the handling.

Yep fantastic cars, have a friend who has just sold his, think there were only about 300 in each colour so there getting kinda rare too.

Almost got one instead of the CTR but wanted new :)

The DC5 looks better IMO

Love the Teggies, someone once told me they are one of the best handling FWD cars available..

I had one 2 years ago but sold it for a house.

They're truely manic, great car for thrashing round in and impressing your mates. Amazing noise makes it feel quicker than it actually is.

Took mine down to Cornwall once and at 5am on the M5 it was rather annoyingly harsh/noise/irritating.

Great car if you dont mind the crappy dash and inability to drive anywhere slowly LOL!

Also, get a black one. Mine was white and no matter how much it was polished never looked really shiny, black ones are rare too.

they are quite nippy but suprised it didn't pull away when i was behind it was following one on a 40 bit of road for a bit! it was modded a bit with quad tailpipes etc! but there was a 2 lane bit of road coming up so i wound the window down and heard him change down to must have been 2nd so i knew he was gonna go for it so i though ah well why not so i did the same and followed him right up his **** all the way up this road till it endned he was less than 2 feet in frount and i recon if he pulled into the left lane i could have overtaken him and mines not even mapped yet!!!!

Standard is about 190bhp. I had a V reg and kept it for 3 yrs - 85000 miles.

Great fun, excellent cornering - even a push bike will beat you off the line initially, but there's a serious kick when it comes on cam.

If you come off a round about in third, then people pull out to go past. Just about then it'll take off, and they're left wondering why they're in the right hand lane

All I can add is that from 60mph up to 135mph the Octy is faster. And from 135mph to 0mph... A big  to Ferodo ;)
