IRC Liveried VRS

Featured Replies

I have seen the IRC Liveried car in my local stealers, just wondered if anyone's bought one?

On a side note there is a hilarious story around the one here. They received the car, took all the wrapping off, all lovely. Sent it off to the valeting company who promptly REMOVED all the livery!!!!!!

Needless to say the dealership were less than happy, especially as they had taken some of the clear coat and even paint off in a couple of areas. Apparently they were even there with heat guns trying to get it off!!! At what point did they think 'oh **** we weren't supposed to do this, but we've got this far...'

The livery is well applied though, goes right behind the lights and door handles. There is now a 'replica' 'replica' in Swindon as they have re-liveried the car... Bet that wasn't cheap...

Ace story.

Have you got a photo of the car by chance?

I haven't actually seen one in real life, do they look good?

Err No, just my old fogey opinion of course.....

+1 from a young fogey.

Maybe if it was the full works, e.g. full wide arches, etc, it would look half decent, however, I still wouldn't be seen in it!

I think it looks good... As someone else's car. It's all fine until someone turns up in one and they get out and you think c**k.

As an independent car though pretty cool :smirk:

Ive seen a peugeot 207 or 307 s16 im not sure which it is with the lion down the side etc on track it would look awesome

But i cant help thinking that walking out on your drive in the morning you would say what have i done.

On the plus side i reckon you could negotiate a discount on one because of it.

That might be a problem, they were excluded from the vat offer, so you'll actually pay more!! :o

I think the stickers were quite expensive...

I have to say if your going to do a rally related special edition I think its important that it is at least the same body as the actual rally car.

I'm sorry but the rally stickers on a standard VRS just looks pants.

Also if its a comemorative edition one would expect that skoda would have realised before making them they were going to have to take a loss to sell them onto the public.

my opinion is no badges at all

i would like that option

or a discount to allow them to advertise on my car

Looks completely bent. Who wants a vRS with a load of stickers all over it? If I was desperate for a vRS and sourced one of these I'd get the dealer to remove all the livery pronto.

I'd get the roof and wheels painted black whilst I was at it too :-)

My local dealer has two. Doesn't look too bad but it's not something I'd have.

I thought the same.

Kinda nice, but I wouldn't want to be seen driving one day in day out. :wonder:

That's just greedy! Only about 35 came into the uk and there's around 150 dealerships I think. I'm surprised they let them have 2 :S

Hmmm... worse than I remember. Ok for the first 24 hours maybe. Then I'd be peeling it off.

It looks nice but i think it is more of a show car than a day to day car

When I collected my vRS there was one of these hideous stickered ones in the showroom -yours for £17,500!!! :giggle::thumbdown:

Not only was the price silly (no VAT offer), but the stickers were really bad quality -you could run your hand over and clearly feel a nice thick edge, very useful for the local scum kids to pick at and peel away....

You could say the car's abit of a rip-off!!

Looks good in the pics, but not so sure I could own one all stickered up just where I stay.

Davy

One in my local dealer, and what i can get, its no VAT offer, and yet still an extra £2000 over stock price, for what? stickers!?
