Fair enough, not my cheapest modification fail lol...i shall give it a few days or so before i peel them off...tut.

apply it to just the mirror indicators and grey tint to lamps and fogs.

I tried the mirrors, bit difficult due to the shape. :(

I am a little curious as to why so many ppl dislike it, Im unsure myself, but its a very subtle mod?!

BUT I know I asked for opinions and thats what i've got...

I think the subtle tint looks excellent, and as the word suggests it is subtle. I think the problem with the blue is perhaps it looks a bit chavvy and then there's the legal side, if the tint affects the beam colour significantly PC plod will make the decision for you. Personally I would have spent my money on a colour coded grilled. The best cosmetic mod' imho of course.

At the end of the day though if you like it then that's what matters.

Lee.

I like....but won't be spending £50. It's a much better mod than black wheels, imo.

I didnt spend £50 either lol...thats how much Mr. Tints wanted to fit it for me, in the end i fitted it myself and the lamin-x cost me £25

Point taken, can appreciate it looking a bit chavvy, although I think its the other mods that compliment it that decide on whether its chavvy or not, i.e. you see a corsa with a big wing and in the back window it has a vinyl with their name and st georges cross (like on a rally car) thats chavvy, then you see an actual good example of a rally replica and it looks good.

As for the legal aspect I was on the understanding that lamin-x was road legal??? and the beam colour hasnt been affected really.

Thanks for the feedback.

From the Lamin-X website, may not be as legal as you think.

Is your tinted/coloured light protection road legal?

Our coloured/tinted headlamp protection films may not be legal for road use on primary lighting in your country. An off-road use disclosure is hereby declared. Installation of our tinted protection film on your head lights or fog lamps is done so at your own risk. Our light protection films are manufactured primarily for the motorsport industry.

18" tyres are a lot more money then 17"

I have blue indicator bulbs, from ring, like the silver ones from phillips, which when on are orange, subtle hue, but looks good

+1.

This is what i was thinking of doing with mine, i put up a post looking for pics like yours to see what it was like...

i might still do it and maybe do the grille surround too B) to see how it looks

Looks cool...... it's nice to see someone trying something a bit different. So much better than the often copied audi led strip lights or bmw halo lights. Again a subtle look. don't be too surprised if we see something similar from the from the car makers.

As regards legal side , i though once you don't show blue or red front lights .....it was perfectly legal. Blue/white ( a'la hid/xenon ) usually does not cause any problems. Assume when the lights are on it's white with blue-ish tint. ?

Edited by Im gouki

It's not doing it for me sorry mate.

I think it's ok - its hardly in your face tint.

I've had loads of cars with aftermarket headlight protectors on which all of them must have taken some light away from the beam? All factory fit stuff including a Porsche.

Keep it till you get pulled by plod or get sick of it ;)

Holy thread resurrection...... :bandit:

No, it makes no difference to the light its still white (ish) with NO hint of blue at all
