My vRS story:) Around and back again

Featured Replies

Hey Guys and Girls, I first had my vRS Fabia 5years ago and like most of you, it soon became my pride and joy:) everything about it from looks to the performance, even every time you tell someone "i drive a Skoda" and as like most of you, you get laughed at and comments like Skip etc etc! these were the comment that made me laugh from inside as i like you know, what this everyday car can do:)

I got my 04 plate with fsh 38000 miles, cruise control think been the only extra for £7495 in 2006. Dealer too, so was good money. From there I had 4 bullet proof years with the only problem been the rear door sills:( In this time i covered around 65000 miles and stupidly sold it just before 100000 miles as I thought this would help the resale.

Mod were done from spraying the roof, spoiler, fogs, grill, cupra splitter, Hids, new Skoda Badges about 3 times as they kept going crap as water got into them, tints, and cut down Private Plate. No proformance mods as Insurance etc. here she is:)

This is what i got:) Fun while it lasted, though petrol station knowing your car  :wonder:

I Sold up the eve before i went to OZ and Fiji and the eve before insurance needed renewing, excellent timing and only a loss of £150, not to bad.

was only going to get a cheap runaround as house hunting, though everything i looked at didnt compare to my pride and joy.and the fact that i sold it locally ment that i see it all the time, i could see what i was missing out on:(

Fabia vRS was the only car i wanted to get after seeing Ibiza sports, puntos and other cars not even worth saying about!.

I saw what i believed was the one, in Leeds, was "MINT" So there said?:( i travelled from North Cornwall to leeds and back in a day and the car was 2 word @(*&%&*in Sh&%!

back to square one again. I Was just about to give up, and Autotrader was doing my head in, as i seemed to be on it every spare minute. Then on the off chance i looked on the Skoda website and found a 04 plate, silver, 1 owner, brought and sold at the same garage, 29000miles, excellent condition for age. fdsh and all bills, years mot and warrenty for £5995.

this car is know mine and and i have the following plans:)

Weitec GT Coilovers

Speaker upgrades:)

lamin-x

Sorry to have gone on, though i am well happy:) Mods are all on way asap;) and will update with pics as bits go on, as we all like a photo tread;).

Cheers! Matt

Nice wee tale  .

What did you think of the Polo GTi? I was tempted by one but went for the vRS as had a notion for one for some time. Don't do a lot of miles so might sell in August / September and go back to petrol.

Polo very nice ride, corners well, interior and sound system, spot on. prefer vRS for looks though.

Mpg was around 33 and not much more when driven lightly. Not many polo gti's around too, so was abit special.

If i did less miles i would probably kept it and cup kitted it up. it was going to be they or a corsa vxr though vRS still gets my vote.

Flys eyes on the fogs very soon, when the weather clears:)

Hope some for you like:) comments good and bad welcome.

Looking good mate, the problem i found with fly eyes was that it limited light output quite alot tbf lol but its very easy to apply.

don't like the short plate in the standard sized gap, looks odd
