2003 octavia vrs faults

Featured Replies

Hi,

im new to the site, ive just bought a 2003 0ctavia vrs yesterday and at first it ran great fo approx 60 miles, then the engine management light came on shortley after that the oil warning light came on,so i stopped and checked the oil level and it was fine.

After restarting and setting off the oil light went off but the management light stayed on but ran fine, after another 20 miles or so the oil light came back on with the esp/tcs light and it became juddery and sounded like there was no oil getting to the top end,so i stopped and turned off the engine, upon restart it ran ok again although slightly juddery again,so ive parked it up,if anyone can help or give advice i would be very grateful,

cheers

Welcome to Briskoda, you really need to get the fault codes read from the ECU to establish whats going on. I wouldnt expect there to be anything wrong with the ECU as they very rarely, if ever fail.
