Oil Temp doesnt work in MFD and NS mirror not dropping in reverse.

Going back on Sunday to get looked at on Monday (one Tech in)

Don't forget the oil temp will not register until at least 50 degrees C (It's not clear whether you realise this or not). The dipping mirror you'll need to set up yourself - it's in the manual BUT flip the mirror switch to 'L' NOT the 'R' it says in the manual. The manual clearly wasn't changed for RHD Yeti's. Caught me out but realised this before a dealer visit - it's the left mirror that dips!

No temp display when thoroughly warmed up (water temp 90). Still no oil temp display after a 30 mile run!!

I tried the mirror switch in all positions with the service manager sitting next to me, in case there was a coding issue.

Just a couple of little issues no big problem :)

Is it on 'Fixed' Servicing?

Oil temp only displays normally on Variable...

Lovely car - nice in the Aberdeen afternoon sunshine. I must have just missed you as I went in to chat to Tom re. latest news on our order.

How was the delivery/handover experience ? Anything I should be aware of (ours is due in the next month :giggle: ).

good pics

Oil temp will only display when the car is set up for variable servicing. The mirror will only do it's automatic dipping when you select reverse if you have the electric memory seats. It needs the memory bit to know where to move the mirror to when you start and finish your manoevering.

It looks as though you have the old long aerial - is that right? I thought all recent cars had the stubby aerial (mine does, built week 3).

mine also has the long aerial, maybe they are using thier stock up on the lower spec models and only the high spec get the shorter stubby one.

EDIT:saying that though the ops yeti is an Elegance so that cant be the case

More likely sticky fingers somewhere? :wonder:

Looks like the new aerial to me :wonder: not the very long bee sting version on the previous Monster.

Enjoy your Yetiing!

No, the new one is much shorter than that.

It must be the mark 2 new aerial then.

It's shorter and smooth compared to my old "curly" bee sting aerial.:giggle:

I'm not 100% sure about this you know. I shall check it out.

Hi

Just checking you do have the electric memory seat. If you don't then the mirror will not dip as it is part of the electric memory seat pack.

My car is on fixed servicing and displays the oil temp........

Nice, my parents have ordered the same colour Yeti in Elegance spec too.

Thanks for the replies. Lets see how I get on when the car goes back.

It is funny that the 09 Scirocco I traded in had fixed servicing and no electric seats but both of these features worked!

Dealer handover was OK, had a run out to Balmoral today and the car was great, my passengers were complimentary also.

The bluetooth is excellent...Do miss the 200PS but it is not bad for a tight motor!!

Great looking car and the best colour in my opinion (I may be biased), congratulations and welcome hope you enjoy your car mate

(still happy after over a year

Sounds like you need a trip down to see Ben at Shark Performance. He'll sort you out. He sorted out FocusZetec's 1.8tsi big time.

When you are in on Monday ask them to finish the number plates, looks like they ran out of letters :giggle:

..this is going to get confusing - Homebase and the Duthie Park are two of my most regular haunts!
