Why don't the Mods let the members have a vote if they are not happy, I for one would vote to keep the threads going as i find them informative .

Me too. Would be such a shame if these disappeared as they're more about the process of detailing rather than touting for business to me. Makes you realise what can be achieved with the right gear, time and approach.

Appreciate the post, my intention with this thread was merely to post up a tough detail on a Skoda, won't be putting any other marques up as I don't want to cause trouble, some people aren't happy so what can you do....... :|

on many different marques and colours - but its of use to EVERYONE!

Absolutely.....

Nice idea guys but I don't think it's worth going up against the powers that be, they have their reasons and I have offered my support, just very nice to see some support from the regular's that I know make use of the detail information........

but there you go - control and power works for some. You have done

such a great job in educating me for one and the mass of members on

Briskoda over the years.... i hope this resolves itself in a suitable

manner.

I'm with the majority here. Simon has never touted for business and he has always freely given advice and support to anyone who asked. His threads are mainly pure detailing porn and everyone loves them. As far as I'm aware his detailing activities are a sideline to his main role in the automotive Industry, so I think common sense should prevail please!

I really enjoy Baker21's detailing threads too but I do wonder what threads that basically consist of a link to a thread on another forum add to Briskoda as well as potential conflicts of interest. Can I be so bold as to ask if you do detailing on a business footing? Registered as a business to pay tax on your detailing earnings? Should Briskoda give preferential treatment to a business when others have had short shrift in the past or should Briskoda condone a flagrant black marketeer? Has whatever has happened been different to what we have seen in the past? Has Baker21 been treated more or less fairly than others? What is fair treatment? Who decides fair treatment? We all know Briskoda is not a co-op.

It's hard to make a call without knowing all of the story but it would be very sad to lose all of Baker21's other advice and helpful input over this. At least we know where we can look if we want to find out Baker21's latest excellent work and maybe that's what we'll have to be satisfied with in order to keep the peace.
