Waiting times in other European country’s

Featured Replies

With some people being quoted 25 weeks or more wait for their cars in the UK, I was wondering what the waiting times were like in other European countries.

:giggle: here in the isle of wight the waiting times are just as bad!!!

Don't think that's the case

xcyber (from Norway but car ordered from Sweden) ordered a fabia 1.2 tsi dsg in oct 2010, was given week 14 but long since gone and as of 6 May 2011, no update. I feel for the guy - they do not have SLI numbers.

He has ordered a 1.2TSI with DSG though, and this has been reported a few times that it will take a while to get a car of this combination.

My guess is that our EU counterparts will probably get their cars quicker because there would be a higher demand for LHD cars...

Delay times for France:

Roomster 22 wks

Yeti 15 wks

Yeti TSI 105 24 wks

Octavia 23 wks

Superb 22 wks

Do you have a link? I see nothing about Fabia.

No, for some reason they didnt mention the Fabia. Went past my local dealer the other day and there were a lot of new cars on the forcourt, 4 or 5 Yetis, Fabias and a couple of Superbs, lots of Octavias. I imagine if the spec was right you could take instant delivery.

That should... if mine bloody gets built on time.. make it about similar to mine!

You ordered 13 days before me (so approx 2 weeks). My build week is 2 weeks after you (not confirmed so no doubt will be pushed back) with delivery first half of july too (no doubt pushed back)

My guess is they have a large back log of right hand drive cars then, as the lefties dont seem to be waiting anywhere near as long in most cases.

I've considered buying a VRS when I ordered mine. I ruled it out when I was offered a delivery date around september (for anything with a DSG, BTW) so I guess it depends. On what, though, I have no idea.

Skoda are a victim of their own success! How long until they convert a line in Wolfsburg to make Fabias?

If you look at any hire car stand it will be full of VW Passat B7s and Audi A1s so obviously a lot of unwanted children coming out of Germany at the moment.
