I've just ordered my first Skoda, a superb estate 1.8 TSI DSG in Steel Grey.

During initial enquiries with two dealers and also at the time of order I was told delivery will be 12 weeks for my model, colour and options.

Now after reading all the threads about delivery on here, I am beggining to question if the 12 weeks will be accurate.

Has anyone got any positive dleivery comments, i.e. received there new cars in line with estimates given, maybe early!!, and just been too busy out driving / cleaning / playing with their new delivery to post on here, or are all Skoda's being delivered late?

12 weeks is the est time on fabias too but some have been more and some less....seems just a generic time scale.

We were given an estimate of 25 weeks in mid-December, and picked up the car last week - slightly earlier than expected. When Skoda moved estimating systems (beginning of this year, I think), the dealer was able to get us a new delivery estimate of Week 17, which was spot-on.

Its good to hear a positive story about delivery times. I was starting to get worried that they are all just guestimates as opposed to realistic dates.

I don't mind waiting for a car, I waited 8 months for my current car. The issue with the delivery time now will be the part ex value not being honoured if I go over 80k before hand over. So the countdown is 4.5k left in 12 weeks. Its going to be close.

My car took 10 weeks from order to delivery.

I guess I was lucky, but now the 170CR seems to be hitting production supply problems.
