Top speed of a Vrs?

Featured Replies

Bigger wheels seemed to bring the speedo down a bit inline with my gps still a bit out though.

Yup bigger wheels makes it more accurate

If you want to compare check out miata tire size calculator

The best I've got put of mine was 132mph on the autobahn - registered on the GPS. No matter how long I kept my foot down it wouldn't go faster than that. Still had about 500rpm to go. Turbo at the limits of puff me thinks!!

I've just been for a play on our private road... I kid you not, we do have one and I'ts 0.6 miles long! Actually I'ts just a farm track, I once went 60 and it was terrifying.

Mine does an indicated 130 at 4k rpm in 6th.

I struggle to believe it

Ive had one at an rr recorded 173bhp and would not pass 130 whatsoever (on sat nav)

Clocks read 140

On a 195bhp hybrid i got 140mph and that was it (sat nav)

Never tried it when i was past 200bhp

Well thats what im saying, I have seen 140 on clocks in a standard fabia. Its common knowledge that the clocks are not accurate, but its the only term everyone can relate to..

My fabia did 150 down a hill by the clocks with pd150 turbo, rr at 179, and have had 135-140 on flat.

Is their much difference with the shorter ratio box in BLT engine?

In my standard 54 plate I've had 140 down hill, cant see it doing any more than that

And the long box was very early 2003

Hds short box is most common

Brick wall at 130 for me, well not literally lol.

just over 140 on the clocks which is a true 70 mph officer :giggle:

Off the clock, but as mine is a Ibiza.. my clock goes a extra 10mph above the Fabia's.... Infact I hit the limiter in 6th and a second or so later whent into gimp mode.
