I've over 300miles to cover this weekend so wasn't looking forward to doing that in the 1.2 Mazda2 courtesy car I've had for the last few months. CAN'T WAIT for the drive now

Just got the call from the dealer...collectin mine at 4:30....excited is not the word!

good news I have a week to wait to collect mine can only get to the dealers on monday and they can't have it ready for then :'( so its got to be next friday.

I think we should all just be grateful our cars are here with such a short wait. Have a look at some of the horror stories in the Black Hole thread. There’s a guy at the top of page 19 who ordered his car in week 7 and after five different build dates he has now been given week 46.

For some reason we have been pushed to the top of the queue and although I would have liked the black pack on my car I would rather have the car now and spend £60 on the bits for the grill than wait till Christmas to get a car with it already fitted. I don’t like the smoked lights anyway.

Mine is now at the dealers! Sales man's day off, but I'll be there tomorrow! Nice.

My (wk21) car has arrived in the UK. Should get it next Wednesday or Thursday

Spoke to Skoda UK, my car is in the UK and awaiting transport! Now lets hope it arrives monday so I can have it asap, I hate this waiting game...

My dealer says you can swap, which what i will be doing, however the APR is higher I think.

Arp on the offer is 7.9 which is what I was offered when I ordered. I was just wondering as I'm going to pay for the car tomorrow. Did any one get offered the 7 day free insurance. My insurance for the new car starts on Friday because that's the earliest I could pick it up. I can now collect it from Wednesday onward but don't feel like giving my insurance company anouther 20 pound admin charge to change the date on the policy

I'm not letting it get to me...it is kinda sickening but ah well, a lot worse could have happened. I'm just back from a 100mile drive...averaged 43mpg which I was fairly happy with given that there's less than 300miles on the engine. It's just a stunning stunning car(and yes I did mean to type stunning twice). The ease with which it gathers speed is astonishing...pulling out of towns and accelerating from 30mph to 60mph is completely effortless. Managing the lights, DSG paddles, cruise control and radio controls all with the left hand can sometimes require the accuracy of a concert pianist but once you get used to it, it's a joy...all my nephews are calling it the playstation car

Sorry to here that a bit of a sickener but hopfully it will be covered by the insurance. In a weeks time you will have forgotten all about it.

Jim I'd get your dealer to check the service offer again. Just been to sort out payment for mine and was told straight away that I was included in the offer and it would cost an extra 20 pence a month on my payments. £7.20 for three years service I'll go for that.

If only i could. To be honest things changed and I could have picked it up sooner but I was not going to givr the insurance company another £20 to change the date on my policy.

If you are getting it on PCP make sure you get the 3yrs free serviceing. They ran my figures through the system again and its costing me an extra 20p a month. Think I can live with that.
