Once the bushes are fitted etc and i offer the wishbone up, does it go in at the 9 o clock position ie at 90 degrees to the chassis OR at 8 o clock ie about 105 degrees to the chassis?

90 degrees

90 degs....straight out and level (horizontal) the wishbone should be when offering it up to the Skoda or Cupra bush.

I ended up using ratchet straps to get mine back in, they were a pig.
