£25k to get that autocross car road legal, or £25k for your entire project?

For the whole project.

My 09 is not that far off now...

It soon adds up when you go completely to town and cut no corners.

I tend to go a bit silly.

I don't think you'll regret keeping the SE Richard. It still puts a childish grin on my face when mine is on boost.

Clarkey

This was so nearly mine - call it the one that got away!!

Had the cash ready to go before Richard had a change of heart.

I dont blame him though as it is not an easy decision to make and he seems a good bloke too.

Anyway I still have Lashonda and she is by no means a slouch - still loving her and she too gives me a grin !!

Good Times!!

So pleased you're keeping this! I'm looking forward to seeing it develop further and look forward to seeing it in the metal some day. It is my car of Briskoda.

Yes! You've seen the light!

I was hoping you'd go further with the DIESEL fabia.

I'm now interested again, you kind of lost me with the 4x4 petrol.

Glad you decided to keep the furbie, no other car on sale today offers as much ability, plus what you have already done to it you will never be able to buy something like it again. Just dont go too mad with carbon fibre parts or it may end up looking like a honda civic.

Any parts will be painted to match the car.

It's about improving the car and keeping it looking like a regular Fabia. :)

Making it look flash has never been my thing really.

Good to hear your keeping it sleepy, for a second I thought you were gonna go rally cross mad on it.

So what's with the GT-R then

If that isn't flash, I've no idea what is

A Ferrari would be flash...the Nissans just a working (very hard) mans weapon. :p

Exactly, it's just a big fat Nissan.

Still got 2+2 seats and a big boot so you can take it to TESCOs, and only car people really know what it is. :)

I'm trying here RH. ;)

It's nice to do something mad, but time to be sensible I guess. :(

Yeah time to be sensible and just run a 270bhp+ Fabia diesel now with carbon etc etc

And a 500bhp GT-R

Your sensible is most people's mental! LOL.

I am glad your keeping the diesel tbh. Its nice.

You forgot the Yeti CR170 :D

I've been thinking about this recently.

Feel like I need to get my feet back on the ground because I've gone a bit bonkers this last year.

The Fabia is amazing, never thought I'd be getting a car like that.

Then the whole GT-R thing, which I took to 620bhp was a dream come true. But I still struggled to justify to myself having a car like that sitting there. It's a lot of money slowly depreciating.

So I convinced myself it wasn't that good and sold it, only to go bananas again and buy the MY11 one (already stage 2) with 590bhp.

Trying not to spend any significant money on cars for a bit now. Just keep them and enjoy them.

Although I did drop the MY11 off for it's wrap this morning...

Where the business has done quite well, some other bits and pieces I did have worked out well, plus my rectal examination from the Inland Revenue last year went OK I think I lost the plot a bit... :(

Odd, because up to a few years ago (when I was 35) I was actually quite sensible, which is part of the reason I have a bit of spare cash now.

I wish you had stayed Mad a bit longer then I could have bought your Fabia - Ha Ha!

Rich

I have got to say this looks absolutely amazing and I am sure it looks even better in the flesh - totally unique !!

I love the yellow.

Don't forget you only live once, so live the dream and go mad! Your Fabia is the sort of car most people on here aspire to creating and a source of inspiration to many.

Well although I prefer the original blue it doesn't look half bad, certainly unique, nice finish too, never seen a wrap with that much shine. Also you will never get anyone pulling out on you , they cannot say they did not see you !!

Looking very nice, just needs the BO55 FOX No plate on it now.

Look forward to seeing it at Brands.

Wow!

How cool does that look!! :D

Are the wheels aftermarket? Not sure I like them as much as the last cars wheels...

I was half tempted to put my TOP 90 plate on from the Defender and call it Top Banana. :giggle:

They are made by the same people (RAYS) as the regular GT-R rims, but are a bit wider to fill the arches better and have less spokes.

Yes aftermarket, but they came on the car. Not many people change the rims on these so they tend to look a bit the same.

In the metal they do look much better (IMO) and were already black.

It'll probably look better if I upgrade the brakes at some point as they'll be easier to see. The gold calipers look a bit odd now.

Here is the wheel style up close before the wrap.

RAYS reccomended this exact fitment after refusing to supply the actual offset the last owner wanted...

Help I'm drooling lol.

wow thats bright but it does suit it though
