There don't seem to be many standard ones about. Definately a car that appeals to those that like to uprate things.

The old one was 480bhp, then 550 at stage 1 and 620 at stage 4.

This one has already had a stage 1, which has it at 570bhp. It had 530 from the factory.

I think that's enough for now. :)

I am insanely jealous. A GTR is my lottery win car, no exceptions. It's the most hardcore thing I can think of that is still able to be used every single day. What a machine, I just wish I had your sort of cash :(

You've got plenty of time Harry, I must be something like 10 years older than you. :)

Had to snap this up because not only was it very well priced, being a private sale, but it also has the service pack on it.

Meaning the first three years are covered. I've got another two years or until 27,000 miles of free servicing on it, so I won't have to pay for a service until it's 4 years old in April 2015. Probably longer than I'll have it! :D

Plus it came with parts to upgrade to stage 4 (of a tuner I don't use) that I'm going to sell off which will bring the car down to around £6k under the forecourt price of what it should be. So if I do get itchy feet (which I do with so much money in a car as it's not natural for me) It's probably got 6 months to a years use in it with very little cost.

I couldn't justify it otherwise. List price is mad and depreciation in the first few years is not good.

Just praying I don't tweak it too much because it's money down the tubes. :(

Insanely jealous again, keep it that colour, if you wrap it yellow, everyone will know you really have a midlife crisis

That looks great as it is.

Lovely colour and lovely shine to it as well but the looks of it

Mind if I ask why yellow wrap?

Yellow because I just fancy it. Personally I think it'll look good with the black wheels and trim.

This blue is quite common as it was new on the MY11, so nearly everyone went for it.

Maybe I am having a mid life crisis, I am 37... :D

It has to be wrapped anyway, I can't handle another car with this terrible soft paint they use!

You weren't tempted to make it red to match the yeti's?

I'm sure you'll make a lovely job of it like you have with the fabia and the previous GTR

Don't give him ideas

I had a feeling you'd miss the GTR. I still remember when the first imported ones came over and my local importer turned up in work with one and took me for a spin. Everything I've been in since feels so slow! I do want one one day but only if I can afford to run it properly too.

Some cars do get under your skin, Lotus is another one. I looked at Exiges last year and was told if I bought one I'd always have to have one. Power wise is way out of a GTR's league but handling is supposed to be epic, so much so that everything else feels like a pudding to drive.

Awesome looking car Richard, jaw droppingly nice! I recon you should leave it that colour tho. Yellow cars are just wrong!

Yes they are ten a penny see them everywhere especially in that colour ! ----------------- Not :giggle:

I have only ever seen two both in your previous colour , it is not like you will bump into another one

Well a big " Thank You " to Richard for taking me out for a spin last night.

You just can't put in to words how fast this car is and the Stopping power is something else.

Relised i was going into a lefthander way to fast following on the way home!! very unnerving following a car that has just gone round a corner so flat and "fast" with no sign of brake lights, and you then turn in, in your car and get lots of understeer!!

Nothing wrong with a mid life Crisis Richard, :D great to catch up again last night, the car is the mutts nutts, If there's an opportunity for a photoshoot with the Storm, and the GTR that would be awesome  , I'll have to get on and build that new engine though to have a slim chance of keeping up!!! We'll have to sort a proper trackday session sometime, maybe Chris might be up for it as well?

Sorry about that. :giggle:

Was good to meet up again.

Asked my son on Saturday how big the wheels are on Daddy's car. This was his response... :D

Thanks for the comment. Not had much chance to vid the GT-R. Always seem to be doing something I probably shouldn't do. (or just holding on!)

No, it's going this Thursday and I am collecting the following Tuesday.

Wanted to have it done for Modified Live at Brands Hatch. :)

new car looks epic :)

As some of you may know I had the 09 plate Fabia VRS SE up for sale.

To cut a long story short I am tired of messing about and I still love the car, so I am keeping it.

I'd much rather people were honest (like some were) and didn't come to look, because others look, agree a deal, then vanish.

I've lost count of the number of people that have shown an interest.

Now I have the MY11 GT-R (which is amazing) the 4x4 Fabia project (which will cost a fair bit) doesn't make as much sense.

So I am putting the 4x4 Fabia project on hold, keeping the 09 VRS SE (I still love it!) and my Nissan.

So my diesel VRS SE may soon get some extra parts that were for the 4x4 version... like carbon boot and bonnet amongst other things. :)

Wonder if I can get those Lexan wondows tinted to match the standard SE glass? :giggle:

A shame that it will never see the light of day, but does it really make sense to throw that much money at a project? Probably a wise decision Richard.

That 4x4 that you did buy though... how difficult would it be to register it for the road? ;)

Hi Sam, I worked out it was probably going to come to around 25k or so, which is a bit hard to justify.

Pretty much half my GT-R, which will actually be worth something in a year or two...

(I actually got the GT-R at a good price privately, so it should be cost neutral for six months or so)

It's nice to do something mad, but time to be sensible I guess. :(

£25k to get that autocross car road legal, or £25k for your entire project?
