I've got size twelve feet and hands like shovels, What a Job........

Don't think they've been out in 4 years so a bit tight, snipe nose pliers and a care full hand.

Job done

I presume you're refering to the rear lights, and yes I class it a knightmare of a job.....

Dude, are you aware the headlight unit comes out?

Ah the fronts, then yes as said above take the whole head unit out. Is unbelievebly easy and makes it a breeze.

Really hope you don't have to do the rears then, you'll be screaming......

Yep, had the units out but the bulbs are tucked away in the corner, next to the hieght adjuster motor.

Just couldn't get my large fingers in so snipe pliers were needed

Which rear light bulbs are we referring to Captain Scarlet??

Which rear light bulbs are we referring to Captain Scarlet??

I think he means these ones.

Requires removal of the light cluster which involves winding off four very small and hard to access threaded nuts...

Yeah, the sidelight bulbs are a bit tricky on the fronts - as you say, unit out and needle-nose pliers is the way forward

Yep the tail lights are a mare to sort out too! I've taken mine out because there was a fly stuck in one! Got on my nerves whilst cleaning the car so I thought what would be a ten minute job ended up more like an hour. Oh and I managed to fudge up a brake light so I had to get a new bulb. It's fairly easy to change the bulbs though, just if you're taking the clusters out which is a pain.

As for the fronts I dont know, not tried yet and I dont particularly fancy it either!

Previous owner on mine has somehow managed to drop a bulb into the nearside rear unit, so I can see it sitting at the bottom! emoticon-0114-dull.gif

So really looking forward to having to take the whole unit out to retrieve it. Not as if the bulb holder clips out for easy bulb changing is it?! emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

Regards the rear light unit, have they changed them for FL?

One of the first jobs I did on mine was change the rear indicator bulbs for silvervision ones and the bulb holder just clipped out like any other car I've had. A couple of minutes and job was done.

Am I missing something?

The removable bulb holder doesn't hold all the bulbs in the rear cluster.

The sidelights are a bitch, long nose pliers is the only way to roll.

Ah, I see. Thought I must have been missing something!

yeh its a right bugger, i changed the front sidelights with LED's god was it difficult with big fat hands lol

I snapped of the clips so next time it is a 2 min job not a ************ ******* ***** of a job! :giggle:
