With an ever growing greenline/green tech range of cars with shared technology I feel it could be very useful to have a board of there own.

Can you please vote yes or no to the idea of a new board, if there are enough yes answers could the mods please consider a Greenline/ Green Tech board.

Thanks for your participation.

Surely us monte owners get our own board for being special.. and what about the VRS guys!? I think it's better keeping discussion all in one place tbh.

Greentec is still very unknown, even Skoda UK don't know a lot about it (no shock there!)

You say " I think it's better keeping discussion all in one place tbh." The greenline technology is in all the Skoda range as will be the new Greentech (in my view just greeenline tech with a petrol engine) and having one board keeps the discussions all in one place.

Aye granted but I like having a read through the greeline stuff, I'll have to navigate somewhere else then... and im far too lazy to do that :p!

Within a few years all Skoda's will have greenline tech. (Stop/Start, Regenerative Braking, Intelligent Alternator, Taller Gearing, Aerodynamic Tweeks, Engine Maps etc.). VW's used to offer Bluemotion Tech on some models as well as the standalone Bluemotion models but as new ranges come out all models have Bluemotion Tech so expect Skoda to do the same. In fact Skoda will have to start offering the technology across the range as they are legally bound to reduce emmissions.

So as it's going to be standard fit soon I can't see a reason for a seperate forum.

Cheers

Thought about it for a while. Initially I thought it might be a bit confusing because then you'd get Greenline models from across the range and topics might easily go off the greenline focus.

But then I thought of our mutual experience, Dempsek, in that dealers are fairly inexperienced with this new technology, and so of course are many motorists.

On that basis I think it would be useful to have a Greenline/GreenTec TECHNOLOGY thread, for tech specific threads. General car chat that happens to be about Greenlines could still stay here. As Adam says he likes reading the Greenline threads, I like reading the vRS threads, so there is some benefit to having general chat about the Greenline Fabias kept here. If there was a board for Greenline/GreenTec technology, though, that would make it a useful repository of technical problems/queries relating to the new technology and it would become a useful resource for the ever increasing number of drivers, not to mention the dealers!
