Mk6 flat bottom MFSW

No multifunction before this. Pre FL Octavias with multifunction wheels tend to have 1K0 953 549 AG controllers so you'll still need to stump up the £140 for a CH controller to go with the mk6 wheel.

Would any highline controller not work? Or is the CH specific for the Mk6 wheel?

Did you just enable the MF buttons on VCDS and they all worked, or did the maxidot ones take a bit more work?

The software version and supported LIN protocol version on the AG controller are too low for the Mk6 wheel. It needs a CH.

The coding to get it working with maxidot and the head unit was literally less than two mins.

If anyone wants a 1K0 953 513 G cruise control / indicator stalk, I have a brand new and boxed one I bought to fit with this steering wheel but didn't end up using.

It is perfect for fitting a multi function steering wheel, including Mk6 Golf. It would also be useful for adding cruise control to a non cruise control car or as a replacement for a defective cruise control stalk.

Drop me a PM if you want it. £55.

I couldn't bare changing the controller again so might just stick with the Mk5 GTi wheel.

Is there separate coding to enable radio and maxidot controls? I thought the buttons were all either coded or not?

Hi Nick,

you say it works with your Kenwiid head unit, but do you have an idea if it would work with a Bolero head unit on 2012 FL RS ?

I hate this steering wheel without multifunction buttons !!!

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Mantalo - Yes, it should work fine with your Bolero.

Really hoping I can find the funds over the next few months to make use of the unused buttons.

Im looking to reverse the above mod as I have traded my car in for a mk3 vRS, any idea if I will have to change the steering wheel controller and slip ring back to the older model when I re-install the OEM non -mfsw?
