Loud Rattlle noise under 1500rpm

Featured Replies

Once the car is warmed up it rattles when accelerating under 1500rpm. Doesnt happen when cold. Seems to be right where the bulkhead is. Doesnt happen in Reverse.. Any idea's?

Thanks

Is it like a metal rattle? It could the flywheel, which wouldn't surprise me if you're trying to accelerate from 1500rpm.

Classic DMF failure, and the sure fire way to kill it.

i don't even have to accelerate hard under 1500rpm. It happens even whn you pull away slowly. it sounds like a plastic or heavy object rattling onto the bulkhead. Seems to be in the middle of the bulkhead. What you mean by the sure fire way to kill it? if i got to accelerate hard then i will make sure i am well over 2k rev's

Thought you may be booting it below 2,000 RPM. I would check dogbone mount for excessive play, exhaust hangers. Also check the airbox rubber grommet at the rear of the airbox isn't missing.
