Hi all

allan here from appleby in cumbria, iv had 3 octavia vrs's and at the moment driving a silver 2004.really good site this and im learning loads. i was hoping to swap for a fabia vrs,just fancying a change, but cant seem to sort out the really annoying noise from the engine when ticking over :wonder: ....any help at all greatly appriceated

i'm down the road from you ticking noise?? is it the carbon canister front right of engine near the wing?? if so quite normal....

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

After dropping a wodge on the Outback for a new battery only for the tailgate issues to immediately recur and funnily enough for a internet search to suddenly (wasn't before) flag that there is a persistent and long standing Subaru issue with a parasitic battery drain via the telematics module. Basically the car continually tries to phone home and drains the battery, the tailgate control module is acutely sensitive to voltage meaning that if the car has sat for more than a day (sometime less) th

Hi! Octavia vRS TDI 2015 - For a while I've been experiencing constant DPF regens - the idle tick over constantly sits at 1K with the radiator fans running for a while after the ignition is turned off. I drive motorway miles daily so it's not a symptom of short trips although on longer 2 trip ~2hrs the Particle Filter warning will appear but clears after ignition reset. I've noticed the regens are having a massive impact on fuel economy (only managing ~350 miles on a full tank when previously

Hey up, If anyone is jacking up their car soon are you able to take pictures of exactly where you put the trolley jack (pictures of the jack and any pucks used would be amazing) And where you put the axle stands.
