hmm nice pics, blue and silver go togheter. but why did you park your cars in the road and walk off to take pics???

:) The first 3 are not on a public road. The last one is admittedly on a road, but it wasn't exactly the M1... My mate's girlfriend is actually in his car, laid down out of view, bless her!

Looking good Duncan :)

nice pictures! The Furby looks better than the Clio IMO.

You just need to find the right roads... I was in Derbyshire on Saturday and the roads I chose were lovely and quiet :)

But then I didn't use "A" roads ;)

could the clio get away from you on the country roads in the midrange?

I get a bit worried about whacking the underside of the car if I get a bit briskoda like on some of the lumpier more minor roads... The Clio is magnificent on those sorts of roads, whereas you really start to notice the extra 200+Kg the Furby weighs over the clio when it gets tighter and twistier.

David - grunt wise there's not much in it I don't think once up and running.

The furby hangs on well, but it's not designed to go round corners like the clio can, regardless of what you do to the suspension. The problem I find when you get spirited is the lack of engine braking when slowing for say, a 35-40 mph corner. You could change to 2nd, but it's a bit pointless as you would be changing up again so quickly. Whereas the clio can drop to second, utilise the engine braking, then pull to 65-70 in the same gear.

It's all good fun though... :)

Nice pictures Duncan

Good stuff ;) I like the picture btw - they are very arty :)

Bloody arty-farty photographers...

You'd never catch me out in the freezing cold taking pictures of Skodas....

:D

OK so lets guess where the photos were taken....

My guess the first three somewhere around Chapel-en-le-Frith, or at a push Buxton, the fourth picture was on the moors above Hathersage or Axe Edge south of Buxton

Shame the gf was out of view, I'm sure she's fit :D

Not bad guesses!

First 3 are off the A6 east of Buxton, last one is on a minor road off the A54 near the Cat and Fiddle.

For years I did road-rallies in the Peak District, one of the most notable a very icy Saturday night/ Sunday morning a competitive section up the Goyt Valley, we had difficulty finding any, either accelerating or braking! the road was so icy :(

Happy days :D
