Porsche front brakes

Featured Replies

I would too change fluid before doing anything else. Motul RBF 600 or Tarox RoadRace is what I'd recommend.

Have 1L of RoadRace spare actually, unopened - if you're interested? Bought too much when I sorted a change.

I spotted these the other day and they might give Bryan inspiration for his next mod?

After all, who wants to stick with small brakes when you can max out with some 'proper' VAG ones? :giggle:

There's some bad kerbing going on there John

I might push the boat out and fit a set of TTRS fronts, 4 pots with 370mm discs........:p

Back on topic - ish, have you still got your standard vRS front brakes?

Yes, somewhere in the garage

Standard VRS brakes pants, soon as I ca afford it 345 upgrade for me!

I'm really not getting this apparent hatred over the standard vRS set up, I have found them more than adequate........

I have thought about upgrading to R32/S3 etc, but more for the look, and I could then fit the vRS front set up on swmbo's GT.

I too think that standard setup is pretty good and i've never really had any fade issues. I've been told that realistically unless you are doing serious track work or have a highly modified car then standard discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads is the way to go.

My discs need replacing soon so i'm probably going to go with this option.
