Which phone would you get out of these (cant keep up with them)

Featured Replies

My choices are Galaxy Ace which seems to have a good 800Mhz cpu and looks good. Then there is the HTC Wildfire S which isn't really much of an improvement on the wildfire which is now being discontinued and is the same price as the Galaxy Ace.

My favoured choice is opting for something different for me and that's the Blackberry pearl 3G as is seems a tougher phone which the same features as the Blackberry Bold 9780 and has a proper keypad.

I have had the wildfire and found the touch screen was hard work and the camera frustrated me as it was very slow (3 seconds) from pressing the button to it taking the picture.

Most of our family have blackberry but not sure to take the plunge from an android phone or how I will find it (interface wise)

The Blackberry Torch would be my other option but seems a bit expensive given the fact that the Torch 2 comes out in July with the Iphone 5 soon after.

Phones....can never keep up with them.

BB pearl has an awful keypad. I can't set them up on our server at all due to the stupid predictive text they use.

I would go android - go for a Galaxy S or SII over an Ace.

BB pearl has an awful keypad.

What`s up with the keyboard I thought the blackberry s were quite good

A desire s would be my choice over those stated.

Pearl:

2 letters on each button - mucho annoying.

Normal blackberry:

My work phone is this and the best keyboard out of the 3

BB Bold:

buttons too flat and close together to use quickly.

I have a choice with the Arc, Qwerty or the old T9 keyboard (which is faster to text on IMO)

i am due for a upgrade and from this website top 5 is

1) Galaxy S2

2) HTC Sensation

3) Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

4) HTC Desire S

5) Iphone 4

Galaxy S2, sensation & sony xperia arc are around the same size imo a little bit too big

Desire S and iphone 4 are rougly same size but knowing iphone 5 is out soon will wait for iphone

Blackberry is not good and only one phone on this list

The screen on the original Galaxy was magnificent and certainly better (especially outside in sunshine) than on my Desire, but it just didn't work right.

My 12 month contract is nearly up and I'm also looking round to see how the present phones shape up.

T-mobile say I can upgrade in July (18 month contract ends October - WFT?) so if I can, would love the sensation.

On paper blows anything out there or planned for the next 6 months clean out of the water. But with a 4" screen like the Desire HD, it's a bit bigger than I'd like. The desire & desire S IMO is just the right size for everyday use unless you're a media/streaming video whore.

The screen on the Ace is quite low resolution. If you do even a moderate amount of web browsing on your phone I would avoid.

The BB pearl keyboard is aweful to use IMHO.

The proper BB with the full qwerty keyboards are amazing, but I just never got on with the half querty on the pearl.

IMHO, get a full BB or maybe something like a nokia E71/E72/E6 etc if you want a real keyboard.

If you are going to get the Desire make sure it is the Desire S.

The older desire has bugger all memory and it runs out of space for apps really quickly though it is still a great phone.

That said the HTC phones are excellent IMO - the android app store is really good now with lots of apps.

I had an iphone for a couple of months and was really glad to get back to my HTC - especially as I use gmail the syncing is really easy and integrates with your facebook contacts as well.
