Very nice motor Mercurio

My two weeks without a car is almost over and we're off to pick up the Superb tomorrow - watch this space for pics

Wet and dreary in Norfolk today, so not great for photography, but here are some pics and first impressions of my new Superb after the drive back from Epsom last night.

The Octavia always felt well built and there were no rattles after four and a half years, but I'm loving the build quality and overall refinement of the Superb. Also very impressed so far with the upgraded sound system.

After 27 years of owning manual gearbox cars I'm adjusting well to DSG and managing to keep my left foot on the floor when coming to a halt!

I'm also really happy with the Luxon Anthracite wheels

No mudflaps?

How did you source the Luxon Anthracite wheels?

The Luxon anthracites cannot be ordered from the factory but are available from dealers. The list price is £167 per wheel but I managed to haggle a deal including fitting. I attempted to sell the standard Luxons on here but in the end accepted an offer from Allams for them. The net cost came out at £332.
