scooby aint worth that si

imo buddy i wouldnt waiste your money on the scooby they are amazing cars but very very highly strung and expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

buy the volvo and put a gt30 on ;-)

advise from an old friend in hiding

I wouldn't pay that for it even tho it's a minter, last I knew £3k was mentioned. It's only done 300 mile in a year.

I like the sound of a 4.2 v8 s4 but I think my hearts set on goin bk to the old skool so maybe a cav turbo will end up on my drive.....who knows??

You should come out of hiding and buy my vrs give you summat to do while your on nights ;-)

When you said going old skool with a cav, my thoughts went to carlton. Just checked the prices and they are like £11k start lol.

Out of interest.... if you decide to break the old girl, could I get first dibs on the drivers seat and the upper and lower struts plus the FARB. Sorry to be pesimistic but I thought I would get my foot in lol.

i bought my mk1 vrs and owning my 296bph classic wrx for 5 years and tbh while i miss the 4 wheel drive and turbo kick.i dont miss the fuel bills and running costs and when they do go wrong its mega money ie £200+ for maf.and also i dont seam to get bothered by the racers as much anymore where driving the scooby everybody wanted to have a pop.

i wouldnt get another scooby tbh, as someone has mentioned earlier the S4 is a good car also i always wanted an escort cosworth but just cant justify the price.

Well swmbo definitely wants a New car! For what she uses it for the vrs is to big and thirsty.

Been working out what I'd need to buy/spend if I were to hybrid it

Hybrid turbo £650

Fmic £600-£700

S3 maf £50

S3 injectors £100

S3 fuel pump £60

Map £ £300+

Or £500 for a standard turbo.

Bits I'd get done either way

Bumper grill £20-£50

Rear door lock motor £20-£30

Rear lambda sensor £30

Scratches £100ish

Wheels would be changed so that'd depend on new or used but would be at least £500 give or take.

Then I've got to factor in all the service bits when changing the turbo, I'd do the pick up pipe while I was changing the oil then theres a service to do which would include water pump, cambelt etc.

Is it worth it? I'm not so sure anymore

296 in a wrx must have done a fair few mods to get that figure well done

awesome feeling in the twist with 4x4 and 300bhp nothing can compete but fuel truly shocking and chochlate engine and box

I think that film is the reason the BoB's love chancing white pugs :giggle:

I've been tempted to disquise my Octy as a taxi

Nissan Micra cross-bred with a pitbull

Lightweight and 4wd though

Often wondered if anything interesting could be done with a Subaru Justy

Judging by current WRC, small compact lightweight 4x4 works well
