That's really not fair...... :p

There is another reason as well, swmbos new wheels! 312mm brake upgrade for that, remap, new headlights with black inners, a GTi flat bottom steering wheel, GTi rear valance (which is in getting colour coded as I type) GTi skirts and front spoiler........blah, blah, blah!

Has anyone seen the 2011 onwards design of the 345mm brakes? They are slightly different and have like a 'wing' at the top and bottom of the callipers.

Yep, I noticed them.

Is that only on the S3 callipers?

I saw them fitted to a Leon Cupra.

So does anyone know why my R32 calipers fit fine with plenty of space to spare and yet Carl's had to be adapted to fit?

Factory tolerances? :wonder:

Wouldn't have thought they'd be that great; concerning if so!

Suppose the only way is to do a direct comparison with two cars alongside - one that needed caliper 'adjustment' and one that didn't. Part number on the Neptune, fitment of the upgraded brakes? Can't think that the mounting and fixtures would allow for that range of movement either though.

Most strange.

Poss long shot, but... different thickness of brake disc bells on the cars? Can't think what else would alter the spacing.
