Towbar (EEK!)

Featured Replies

I'm having a Skoda supplied detachable with twin leccy fitted next Friday, no cutting of bumpers required.

The plastic remains the same but the rear bumper support subframe is removed and the tow bar assembly is then fitted.

Make sure the dealer gives you the subframe as you can swap the tow bar to another car when you sell.

So, Westfalia detachable towbar fitted with 13 pin outlet. took the dealer 11 hours to fit ( they say) as the wiring was very involved then had issues programming the computer to recognise it and set up.

Looked under the rear bumper where it sits and to say the cutting of the bumper is poor would be like saying the titanic is water tight! They have made a terrible terrible job of cutting it. I'm really disappointed with the job they did. Coupled to that, the technician that did the job was extremely rude!

They haven't sorted my memory seat problem either which now means I'll have to get it sorted at another dealer.

Coupled to that, had a stone hit the screen on the way home, result is a chip in the week old screen with the possibility it's going to knock out one of the heating elements. Only time will tell on that one.

Very disappointed with my Skoda experience so far, just as well the car is so good in general.
