All I will say is wow, the noise it makes. The speed. It's just a all round stronger feeling car.

I know they are marmite cars but opinions please.

Will be taking better pictures off my drive tomorrow when I go for a drive

As you say, a very marmite car, and I couldn't ever see myself wanting one, but it will certainly run rings around the Fabia and is pretty much guaranteed to put a huge grin on your face every time you drive it

Beaut! only been in the clio f1 and that flew, so cant imagine what this goes like! enjoy it pal

I've never been a fan either, but the Renault Sport cars are supposed to be good. Certainly fast, but a different market to the Fabia.

Only ever had one Renault in the family. Not again, build quality was shocking once it started to put on the miles.

I'm guessing you'll be using more fuel now then? :D

Modified this'll be nippier than you could have made the Fabia, yes?

(due to lack of interest, I've never really looked into the Megan. Shaking that ass adverts didn't help. :giggle: )

Lovely mate! Best colour IMO.

Yeah alot more fuel haha. Gotta go slow though. Toyo proxies on each corner at £180 each isn't something I can afford to keep shelling out on lol

So in reality you will be going slower to save costs ;) :p

Enjoy it dude, I like those but couldn't bring myself to own a Renault after seeing a couple of mate's cars having issues!

BTW, what's the gear shift like on yours? Is it tight or like stirring soup? The handbrake looks funny haha.

I love these!! Lol

Looks awesome glad your happy with it

I'd rather push a skoda than drive a Renault....

Only joking! I love these cars, supposed to be stupid quick. :)

That's more than the Toyo R888s I run my Fabia on! :o

I'm guessing it needs them to get the power down though?

You will enjoy that Tom looks nice just be sensible with it

LOL

Fab motor  Think Renault take some beating when it comes to there entire Sport Range. Agree that they do have issues but what car doesnt? Had a Alpine GTA V6 Turbo many moons ago and its engine was bullet proof! Most fun Ive had in a car ever! Good Choice!

Lol ps is there any car that splitter doesn't fit??? Lol

Yeah I think that's one factor, there 235 wide lol, 235/40/18

Very nice car indeed - What plans have you got for it? I doubt you are going to keep it standard....

Lovely motor. Colour works well on it too emoticon-0103-cool.gif

If you think it's good now, don't go on MegSport and see what other bits you can get emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Also, there's better and cheaper tyre options than T1-Rs at £180! Don't know where that price is from. But my mate and his R26 doesn't pay that - he's using Sessantas at the moment.

Enjoy

Steve

Ah, i saw your post on Meganesport. Lovely car. I'm of the same name on that forum and one of the Mods. :)

Ignore the uneducated 'renault/frenchie haters' out there. Most people don't even realise that the Renaultsport cars where built at a completely different manufacturing facility to the rest of the Renault range, hence the improvement in build and reliability. Not VAG quality but still reasonable (loads of bits are derived from the tie-in with Nissan for instance). For example, i'd never consider owning a non-Renaultsport Renault............. ;)

I'm on my 3rd Renaultsport in 5.5 years (225 Cup, 197 and now R26) and i haven't had a significant issue with any of them. Had way more with my Lupo Gti before that!

As Wardy said, the T1-R's are ok but there are better out there which work better with the R26 chassis. The standard PS2's are excellent and the Vred Sessanta's i'm running have proved a great all rounder.

Here's mine. :)

And you've only had it 5 minutes!

Nice car Tas, my mate had one but had to get rid in favour of the clio as the megane was to pricey to run day to day.

This is only a weekend car for me. As I hardly use my car in the week. But it does seem to be thirsty. But that could just be cos I'm blipping everywhere as it's new lol

Best way to run them mate as a weekend toy.

Got mpg figure?

Got mpg figure?

Mine gives about 32mpg on the motorway and about 28mpg mixed driving. Having said that, at Harewood Hillclimb on Thursday i averaged 7mpg for the entire day. :)

Mines Stage 1 mapped which seems to improve the motorway economy by about 2mpg.

It's better than the competitiors like the VXR, ST, RS, R32 but you don't really buy these sort of cars with economy in mind.
