what have you done to your Fabia today?

Featured Replies

Just answer the question I suppose.

Changed my air filter.

wiped the largest pile of bird poo ever, off the roof....

Driven it

Drove it to/from work, put it up on chocks and drained the oil out, put the sump plug back in and going to refill it tomorrow, with a new filter, oil and plug :)

Drove it to and from work dreaming of the cheapest way to increase torque and thus acceleration. <sigh>

Jesus! I got 5 litres of 5w-40, a new plug, filter and rubber seal for £28 from TPS!!

Made a chav in a 1.2 corsa with a body kit and the biggest exhaust known to man, feel very silly in front of his girlfriend when after tail gating me for miles he tryed to overtake me :giggle:

I know it's mental.

A normal 5w-30 was only £18 odd, but needed fully synthetic and gm approved for modern vauxhall engine. Halfrauds wanted nearly £50.

Bought my lot to for vrs and cost just under £30 for oil and filter.

My girlfriends 57 plate 1.4 can't get over 75mph!! So I bet you made that 1.2 look like a robin reliant. Lol.

Drove it to the bodyshop for a quote on paint repairs.

I don't want to spoil this thread, but there is of course a long running thread about this in another section.

What did you do to your Skoda today?

BTW. Nothing, it has stayed on my drive all day and I've not touched it. I might give it a wash next week.

Drove to garage

Got power steering sensor unplugged & removed

Set about finding out why water was getting in

removed scuttle panel

removed wiper assembly complete

found various amounts of crud, and cleared it

blocked up a potential hole, whilst freeing up proper drainage holes

Fitted wipers & scuttle panel

Tested wipers - dead - forgotten to plug back in

removed scuttle and plugged in wipers....

Refitted all and glad to have PAS back

PS: Most of the above done by the garage with my supervision and "assistance" where necessary as always. B)

Jim H, I see it's somewhere else but I'd rather hear from fabia owners only as yeti owners and superb owners etc tend not to be as adventurous as fabia owners.

Replaced N/S brakelight bulb

Done that to a golf last night, put the foot down when he was next to me and left him standing :D

Back on topic - Colour coded number plate surround and a quick wash

Did the CCV elephant mod

Today I opened the boot and took a pair of waterproof trousers, a camera monopod, a pair of Dr Marten steel-toes, a cool bag and a wooly hat out of the boot. Also took one of the front mats out and shook the mud and stuff off it.

Exciting stuff!

Cleaned my seats with halfords foam cleaner. Bloody stuff is rubbish!! Going back to some Tesco upholstery cleaner.

Lit up the front wheels when shifting up into third gear :giggle:

Checked it on the insurance/tax databases. Still going somewhere! :)

Bought a turbo back miltek system.......

Ditto - a few times. I don't let that sort of thing hang about. It ruins paint lacquer.
