Late night eBay mad purchases

Featured Replies

Well the other night I was browsing eBay and stumbled across a 1999 Volvo S80 T6. Really low start price and stupidly I bid thinking, it's worth more than that..someone will bid higher. Well, it's finished tonight and I won. The car, with 145k on it and a full history, leather, heated seats and a sunroof and a few other bits is mine. Won it for 750 quid an it has a years MOT too! Needs the passenger window looking at as it dosent work but hopefully nothing major and a few scratches etc need sorting. Always fancied one and hopefully it will be ok as a toy for a few months unless it turns out to be similar economy to my current s60 in which case I might keep it. 272bhp through the front wheels though!! LOL!!!

Well door problem will be window regulator,

As for fuel they are quite heavy on the old go juice

I had a thing for an MX5 once and did the very same thing. Glad I've not got one on my drive now though

I still haven't told the mrs....bargain though!

I did this and won a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It was the 4.0 L straight six petrol engine, it was very well kept, and I sold it after a year. I Still miss it now, it was an awesome cheap car.

maybe i should hire you guys to bid on a landrover disco diesel for me....

:wonder: Was messing about the other night just before i put a new headlight on my car, Just got an email and I've won a Headlight beam setter (type they use for mot's) for a whopping £1.20!! Forgot i put a 2 quid bid on it. Now I lust need to sort out collecting it in the midlands lol

I saw your post on the Volvo forum the other day. Good buy. I always liked the s80.

I had a S80 T6 a few years ago, fantastic car with brilliant seats. I had mine remapped by a company called RICA I think and it was seriously rapid.

Did you have any gearbox trouble James? I'm hearing a few horror stories! My S60 is RICA mapped and pulls well when on the super go go juice. Normal juice is poo though :(

stunning buy!

let us know how it goes when you get it :) post up some pics and a review

Just waiting for my assets to be sold to release the cash lol. As soon as I pick it up I will post pics and bits and pieces :)

If it hadn't been in Glasgow.. I'd have bid on a Triumph 2500 earlier which was on at £300... I was getting so close, but was strangely relieve when I looked at the location.. lol. The decision had been made for me!
