Roomster, a review of mine so far

Featured Replies

Ive had my Roomster SE TDi 105 for nearly a month now, so far its all been very positive. The car is far better than my Fabia Estate I traded in, the Roomster rides so much better and corners with a lot more reassurance. The engine is a real peach, its only covered just over 700 miles but feels quite punchy and is very smooth when off the mark. I think my Fabia was better suited to town driving as everything felt lighter, but it was a 1.2 petrol which could explain that.

MPG isnt bad so far, over 450 miles its averaged 52mpg which isnt brilliant but better than my Fabias 47mpg average. I have seen 73mpg on a run from work taking it easy with no traffic at all but that drops to low 50s in busier conditions. I can easily achieve high 50s but Im trying to run her in so dont want to plod about too much!

The main reason I bought this car was for is load lugging, and it hasnt dissapointed one bit. It swallows our WW2 reenacting gear with ease, far better than the Fabia Estate as the loadspace is more usable

So, overall Im very happy indeed. One moan though, it has various little creaks and buzzes from the interior as did my previous Skoda... something the company could really sort out as it does taint a new car somewhat.

Nice review... I must do a "3 year" one soon! I've never had any creaks or buzzes with any of the three Skodas I've owned... Whether just lucky or perhaps I just don't notice them I'm not sure!

Only had my Roomie for a week and the only creak/buzz was from a pen I put in the glovebox, needless to say I have moved it :)

Ive one I just cant locate, the others are from the rear doors but that creak goes away after about a mile or so of driving... which is weird!
