VRS N75 valve ?

Featured Replies

Anyone know the location of the N75 valve on the vrs if it even has one that is ?

My brother is needing to compare a part number

Thanks

don't think it has one. may be wrong but I thought they were for 1.8 turbo engines

It's must have one as theirs a map for it in the ECU.

It's inside and part of the black vacuum box on the rear of drivers side inner wing. It controls the vacuum module on the turbo to adjust the VNT part of the turbo.

What is this valve (on this and other cars), what does it do?

I'm guessing it has something to do with the Turbo?

It applies a certain amount of vacuum to the variable vane control module mounted on the turbo. This controls boost levels for the revs.

Solenoid to control turbo vanes when to open/close. One on fabia VRS is in the vacuum black box (above the suspension mount) as said above. Supposedly more reliable than the other system which has an external component. Cars that have external N75 valve can get different ones to make the boost kick in earlier/faster etc to increase performance.

Info above is from a digging around the internet so please feel free to correct if it isnt.

Edit: d'oh, beat me to it :p

re - part number, the letter at the end of the part number is important, I have one for sale which is for a 1.4 tdi if your interested.. :D

My bro is needing the external one from the 1.8T but wanted to know if the fabia vrs had the same one which it doesn't.
