Nurburgring lap

Featured Replies

As a new member on here i thought i'd share my lap in a Radical SR3 driven by Micheal Vergers (lap record holder in a production car 6.48)These car's are bloomin quick considering it only has a 1.3 litre hyabussa engine.

That's amazing! What an experience, and the guy is so humble crediting the tyres for his cornering ability, taking a corner at 130mph has got to be at least 95% sheer guts.

One wee slightly amusing thing was watching the smaller window showing you and him in the cockpit, really highlights the neck strength of a racing driver versus us normal punters :-)

I like the bit at the start where he is doing 50mph down a bit of road about as wide as my drive. Also he made the Ferrari and Porsche look like they were driven by grannies.

Also the nonchalent wave to one car as he is doing about a ton on a bend was quite funny.

I don't have any speakers at work so I don't know if there is audio on the video but I assume for most of the lap you were going:

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Great video. Love the ride down to Breidscheid bridge (Adenau).

Check this one out that I posted a few weeks back.

Fantastic video. Made some of those car's look like they were standing still. Love the biker style 'thank you' wave as he goes by

How much does the SR3 RS actually sell for? :p

Glad you all like the video! The funny thing was i was never scared at any time despite taking corners at speeds totally alien to me.The car is just pinned to the floor with all those clever areo bits. Those familiar with the ring will quickly recognize the corner speed is about 35%+ higher than a non areo car could manage that's why gt3's ,Ferrari's and the white lambo supper leggaro are easy prey. Plus when you have Micheal Vergers driving that helps too lol!

This particular Radical cost £70k!

@Kevberlin yes seen that video and it's impressive as the ring is almost as slippery as an eel in the wet!

Pic of Micheal Vergers before my lap. He's Dutch but lives in Oxford and drives the Mk4 golf tdi 130 behind him as that's all you need on the road ''he says'' MichealVergers001.jpg

totally brilliant vid!!

My mates brother used to run a Radical race team (K2 race engineering) and ive seen these cars in action and they are bloomin quick!!

One of the best 'ring' clips I've seen in a long time.

I'm going to take the Radical for a couple of laps of the ring in 2012 with Anthony Dunn (British radical champ)as my passenger and instructor. Probably have a hot lap with Micheal Vergers as well. If anyone is interested in this check the link out!

Was it worth £250? emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Yes 100% worth it that's why i'm going back next year. I actually only paid £200 as booked through another forum well in advance and as a returning customer will pay the same next year. How often do you get to meet a legend and lap record holder of the nurburgring and do a lap with him?

That's fearsome!

Even with traffic it still did a B2G of around 7 minutes :o

What are they doing at the GP track? Looks like they're re-routed the circuit down near the pit lane?

£250...id be happy with that!! a once in a lifetime experience!

I recognise the name from Northloop....Hello!!!

Hi Miller! Know you from northloop too!

I will probably have another go in the radical but drive it myself around the ring. Same price as a hot lap with Mr Vergers.

What can I say?? that was fantastic & It made my run round the ring in September 2010, look like a picnic run !!!!

Thanks mate. Another great video.

I love that driver. He is fast and polite at the same time.

Good to see people like the lap! It really was fantastic fun and as mentioned by Kevberlin Mr Vergers is laid back and modest about his driving skills and very polite when lesser cars hold him up.

I'm looking at another go on October 8th but this time driving the Radical (same price as a passenger lap) but obviously a lot slower.

Plus on 9th and 10th October Vergers will be taking passengers out on Spa! This is the best short circuit i've ever been on and the thought of taking Eau Rouge flat with Vergers is getting me very exited!

All this can be found on uniquitrackdays web site.

How much I'd love to have a go!!! :)

Wow! Just amazing! I love his abilities, noted that he didn't wave to the guy that blocked him in the Sirrocco....

@ Fabia 19 all the prices are on this site.

The guy in the Sirroco was a complete nutter from Italy and he later went on to completely write off the car in a very big accident. It was a rented car and he had a massive excess to pay of over 10k

I was watching the same thing. His head didn't move an inch!
